We are inside the cafeteria waiting in line to collect our lunch. Fortunately, I convinced Abby and Declan that Josh and I are not together or what they think we are, but the school thinks otherwise. Even though I convinced them, I know Abby finds me suspicious and I am willing to not divulge anything. I am not willing to hurt her by being with her brother and I do feel guilty about it, but what can I do I love him...

I love him! Holy shit I love Josh Rider, I am actually in love with him. It only has been a week and I feel this way about him ugh, I feel this way about him and Abby, my best friend doesn't know about us.

I feel double guilty, I tell her everything, and I am so not being a good best friend if I am keeping this from her.

Speaking of Josh, we haven't seen each other since our first class today and I wonder where he is and so do half of my school.

After they saw Josh and me earlier and we parted they won't stop giving me weird or disgust looks while whispering behind my back and so does Rebecca and her poppets.

Abby grabs her lunch, standing aside while waiting for Declan and me.

I pick up a sandwich and milk before joining Abby outside the line.

Scanning the cafeteria, I search for a specific person, but he's nowhere to be found. Where is he? Is he avoiding the cafeteria because the food isn't great? I can't blame him.

My gaze moves to the doors, hoping to see him walk in, but someone else does.

"Oh, come on," Abby says, annoyed, rolling her eyes as Rebecca, with her two followers, enters and surveys the cafeteria with an arrogant demeanor.

Frowning, Rebecca heads to a table, her friends following suit.

This surprises me; they usually eat out.

Always eat out!

I glance back to where they came from and spot three freshmen boys entering with salads and water. They join Rebecca, who takes a disinfectant wipe from her Louis Vuitton handbag, wipes the table (her side) before casually dropping the used wipe on the floor-who does that?

She then takes out a spray from her expensive handbag, sprays it around the room, sanitizes her hands, and the boys place their lunches down, and with a tip her, they leave.

"So, is this going to be a regular thing?" Declan asks with genuine concern over his face.

God, he looks so much like Corbin Bleu in the High School Musical. I swear anyone would mistake him for the actor. They could pass as twins.

"I don't know-" I am cut off when Josh casually walks inside with a breathtaking smile causing all the attention inside the cafeteria to himself. Even the cooks and janitors start watching. He has his glasses on and his leather jacket toss over his right shoulder hanging from his back and his right hand holding it, and his left holding a lollypop. Whispers and chattering commence all over inside simultaneously with sighs of amusement.

"Hey!" Josh yells, pointing over at us. My heart feels like it stops. All the attention is going to be on me. Ugh, Josh. He starts his way towards us but stops and hands his lollypop to a girl standing at the doorway drooling at him. She slowly takes it with her hand shaking. I feel sorry for her, the poor girl must be intimidated by him. She takes it and stares at Josh, who winks and starts his way over to us again. The girl, however, stares after him blankly seeming as if she is lost. Josh stops next to me and swings his arm around my shoulder, "Hey schoolmates," he grins. All the attention is on us or should I say me. They are all whispering and my heart starts to pound even faster, what if Abby suspects us? I am doom.
