Cop cars, ambulances, and a detective were all here while parents rush towards or for their kids. Two students got shot but they are alive, fortunately, Declan and Abby were safe when the shooting took place so they didn't get hurt, they are also next to Josh and me with Jessie. I am a bit shaken up from what happened, Josh and I could've lost our lives.

I look straight ahead and see the cop car the shooter was sitting staring at us, the car drives off and a detective starts his way towards us. Josh tightens his arms around me and hugs me closer. The detective stops before us.

"Good night I am detective Cooper and I want to see how you two are holding up," Josh and I didn't say anything, we were so petrified, we almost lost our lives for God's sake! How are we supposed to hold up? "The shooter name is Freddy Malcolm and he's wanted for second-degree murder and for robbing three grocery stores, we were pursuing him from the third grocery store he robbed and he ended up at your school, shot two innocent students that are being taken to the hospital right now, and you two are lucky we came the right time and shot that bastard or else you two would've been in a body bag-"

"Where are my babies!" I see Mr. and Mrs. Rider running towards us along with my mom. They run towards us and hug us all, "I am glad you children are all okay."

"Annabelle honey how are you holding up?" Mom caresses my face.

I swallow the tears I was holding, "I am okay mom thanks to detective Cooper."

They look over at detective Cooper. "Where is he now?" Tom asks.

"He's apprehended, sir."

"Good, I hope he gets life in prison for going after these kids."

"He will."

"Is that so," Detective Cooper nods and starting to tell our parents about what Freddy is wanted for.

"Annabelle?" I turn to look over at Josh. "I am sorry this happened," I shake my head at him, what is he talking about? None of this was his fault, as far as I know none of us knew this was going to happen.

"Don't apologize Josh, none of this was your fault, I am just happy that we are all safe," I hug him then Abby, Jessie and Declan join. "I love you guys."

"We love you too Ann," Declan's phone rings and he excuses himself and goes to take it. I watch as our parents continues to talk with the detective.

Over at one side is Mrs. Marshall and she's talking to some of the students' parents who looks worried for the children.

"Hey guys, it was my mom and she sent my brother to get me, so I will see you guys soon," he gives us one more hug, "Yearbook Friday!" He walks away towards a car that just gets here which I assume is his brother.

"Kids let's go home."

It's wasn't long enough before Friday and we are on our way to our picture day for our year book at school. Josh pulls the Tesla in the drive way of our school and we exit closing the doors, seeing that Declan just got here as well.

He walks over to us and we all make our way inside the school, on our way inside we see a group of students circling someone, whom I got a glance of and it is one of the two students that got shot and he's bragging about how he didn't feel anything.

We make our way towards the picture room and write our names down, sitting on vacant chairs waiting on our names to be called.

Minutes go by and none of our names called. Somehow, Rebecca gets inside then models past us making her way inside the room.
