There will be sexually explicit in this chapter, and if you prefer to not read I will use italic writing throughout the whole thing so only people who want to read can and who don't can skip through.

"Parker!" I turn my face away from his lips that tries kissing me before he places his hand on my underwear, attempting to pull it down when suddenly the bedroom door burst open, crashing against the wall behind it.

"What the fuck!" Josh rushes over to us then yanks Parker from me pushing him in the corner where he starts throwing punches in his face.

Abby rushes over to me with panic, enveloping me in a tight, worried embrace. "Are you alright, Ann?" she asks, concern evident in her voice, her hug growing tighter. I glance at Josh, tears streaming down my face. He's relentlessly beating Parker, blood spraying from the forceful punches and kicks. Serves him right. "Let's get you out of here," Abby whispers, helping me to my feet and adjusting my dress.

She wraps her arm around my shoulder and guides me toward the door before guiding me down the stairs, caressing my back caringly all the way down.

The party is starting to empty out, appearing somewhat desolate in the late hour as people leave.

Abby stares at me, her face etched with sympathy, clearly not happy about the situation.

I offer her a reassuring nod and smile, wiping away my burgeoning tears. I don't want her to feel sorry for me. But at the same time, I can't believe Parker would do something like that. I trusted him. I thought he was different, I thought...

"Don't worry, Josh is taking care of him. Did he hurt you?" Abby tries to sound calm as she asks, suppressing her worry.

"He... he was about to, but you guys arrived just in time. Thank you," I say, hugging her tightly as tears continue to flow. "How did you find me?"

"Josh came to find me, letting me know he was ready to leave. We started searching for you. He asked a few people, and they mentioned that you and Parker had gone upstairs. That made Josh furious, and he stormed upstairs, kicking in doors until he found you. I'm glad he did," Abby explains, embracing me once more as we make our way toward the exit.

Stepping outside, we sit on the steps, observing the intoxicated seniors strewn about the lawn, some lying down, others passed out.

We flinch in surprise and shock as a guy tumbles from the rooftop and lands on the grass. "Oh my God, is he okay?" Abby gasps, her hand instinctively covering her mouth.

The guy punches the air while lying on his back. "I believe I can fly!" Abby and I burst out laughing at him. It is clear he's not sober, he turns his face towards us, and it is then we recognize him. He is Bob Stevens, a track star at our school and also known as drunk Bob, he drinks a lot. "Sup lad-" he passes out.

Abby and I start laughing again at the same time Josh walks out of the house and looks down at us.

"Let's go," he nonchalantly says. We get from the ground then he grabs my hand and pulls me into a hug. "I am glad he didn't get any further," he whispers, kissing my hair. "Abby drive," he hands the car keys to her, she walks towards Josh's car and we follow, Josh holding onto my hand. "I should've never trusted that guy with you," he whispers.

All those memories start flowing back and I squeeze his hand, my heart pounding, and he squeezes it back.

We reach his Tesla and he opens the back door then helps me in while he comes in next to me, closing the door and turning to face me. "I won't ever make him hurt you again," he whispers, touching my face. I close my eyes then he pulls me into his chest hugging me tightly and I hug him back.
