The expression on our faces is inestimable, this is the last thing we expected to walk into. Josh takes my hand and holds onto it tightly, I look over at him and he's looking at me with doubt in his eyes. I never have seen Josh this panicked before and that show's how important this meeting is. "This guy can ruin my father's company if he doesn't accept the deal with my dad, Annabelle," Josh tells me then carry his eyes back over at the table where his family and two powerful businessmen sit. "I-" Josh begins when his father spots us. My breathing starts to hitch and I couldn't help but be anxious for Josh.

"Josh everything is going to be fine," I tell him squeezing his hand and giving him an assuring smile. "Let's go your dad is waiting."

He clears his throat, "Yeah, sure," we start way over there then stop at the table. The men turn towards us looking taken back to see who we are, he stands along with his partner with a smirk on his face.

"Josh this is Simon Lockwood and his working partner Nate Anderson the owners of the Lockwood cooperation, and Simon and Nate this is one of my sons Josh Rider and his lovely girlfriend Annabelle."

Josh slowly gives Simon Lockwood his shaking hand to shake and he takes it, "It is so nice to meet you there Josh, Josh Rider," he slowly shook his hand staring at Josh, who then clears his throat and pulls his hand away giving it to Nate Anderson who looks at Josh perplexed. He clears his throat taking Josh's hand. What's up with this guy?

"Oh, Annabelle," Josh gives me the way to shake their hands. Mr. Lockwood takes my hand and slowly shook it before kissing the top of it, carrying his eyes to Josh looking for a reaction but didn't get any.

"It's so nice to meet you, Annabelle," I slowly remove my hand from his grip and carry it to myself wiping it at the back of my dress without anyone seeing it.

I smile up at him, "I should say the same, Mr. Lockwood-"

"Oh please call me Simon dear," he says looking at me. I couldn't help but think he looks more potential than the day we first met he's so intimidating. "Shall we sit?"

Josh pulls out a chair for me then helps me sit before sitting his self. "You're such a gentleman Josh, you even look like the type of person to pick a fight for your girl?" Lockwood says with a domineering smile.

Josh shifts uncomfortably in his seat then clears his throat, "She's my girl so I should, I will pick a fight for my family as well."

"Hmm, do you play sports, Josh?" He asks.

"No Mr. Lockwood, I focus more on my studies," Josh says and his dad nods while holding his wife's hand.

"You are the future heir of your father's company?" He asks fixing in his chair.

"Yes, Mr. Lockwood-"

"Please call me Simon."

"Yes, Simon I am, so I am focusing on my studies."

"I see, Tom you got a smart one here."

"Yes, I do I have two smart sons Josh and Jessie-"

"Jessie?" Everyone looks over at Nate Anderson bewildering as to why he is so stunned and curious. He's been acting weird since we got here and it's making me want to ask questions. "I mean Jessie is your other son's name?" He adds on.

"Yes they're twins didn't I mention this?"

"Yes you did," Mr. Lockwood answers crossing his arms over his chest.

"Yeah, he's my son that returned home after nineteen years, crazy I know."

"He returned?" Anderson asks with an arched eyebrow. He's acting so eccentric and it has me worried. Abby picks up on his behavior and looks over at me and I raise an eyebrow to her then she blinks telling me that somethings up with this guy.
