We are inside Josh's Lambo on my way to my house and Josh has been silent since we left the restaurant. Whenever I tried talking to him or asking him what's going on with him he always says, "I don't wanna talk about it," and nothing else. I start to think it's something Simon Lockwood said that makes him the way he is right now. I trusted my gut when it predicted something bad was going to happen with them and it was right.

The car is congested with the loud deafening silence that seems to affect me only. I hate to see him this way and he's a silent person when he's angry and that he's always. I place my hand on his that is placed on the gear and it shifts by my touch then calms. What's going on with him? I want to ask so badly, but I am completely aware of his answer 'silence' so I just keep quiet.

The car finally Pulls up in front of my house and Josh exits the car and opens my door and helps me out. I watch as he closes the door and when he turns to look at me I smash my lips against his lips. I hope whatever is bothering him will just fade away. I slowly move my lips on his while he begins to do the same pulling me closer to his chest wrapping his arms around my waist enjoy every moment of our kiss.

We pull away and stare into each other eyes. "You know I love you no matter what right?" He asks and I look at him confuse. Where is this coming from?

"Yes?" I say but it comes as a question.

"No matter what happens we will always be together right?" He now looks so desperate for an answer his eyes pleading. Now I am curious what he and Simon Lockwood talked about.

"Josh....what did you guys talked about? Please tell me."

He sighs rubbing the back of his head, "Just answer my question, Annabelle," he looks so stressed.

"Yes Josh, we will be together always, now tell me?"

"Promise?" He looks me in the eyes.

"Yes, I promise."

He licks his lips and takes a deep breath, "Simon Lockwood won't do the merge with my dad unless he goes on a date with you..." The words descend as he speaks and I couldn't venture what to say anything. This wasn't good at all and I know it's just one date but to Josh, it's his life, that can't happen.

"T-there must be something else... Josh?"

"I don't know Annabelle, I will have to ask my dad, grrr! He's going to be so mad when I tell him I punched Lockwood," he wipes his chin angrily.

"You don't have to say anything about that, you could just tell him only what Lockwood said. If you tell your dad what happened at the bar he would query why I was at the bar in the first place, and so Abby and Declan."

He sighs, "I will talk to my dad and we'll figure things out okay?" I nod, looking up into his eyes hoping they will figure this out as he said. I don't want to go on a date with Simon Lockwood and neither does Josh, he doesn't want me to and he will do anything to prevent that.

It's the following week and I am on my way to school in my mom's car. Today is the award ceremony where it determines which three students will get the three scholarships. I don't have to be worried because my mom already got my college covered, but it will mean a lot to watch my dad watch me get so many awards for good performance. I am certain he will show up, he promised.

"Honey are you excited," Mom asks, glancing at me. I give her my happy smile and nod leaning my head back on the seat, but before I could relax myself something or someone's foot comes crashing in the back of my seat jerking me forward.

I groan and whip my head around at my brother and sister and they both were pointing at each other with a frightened look on their faces, I couldn't bother to shout at them. I sigh and turn to look straight ahead as my school comes into sight. Todays my day and I won't let anything ruin it.
