"Taco!" Blocky called out.

Taco was sitting by herself, playing with the grass next to her, since she had nothing to do. She turned around to his voice.

"Hm? What is it, Blocky?" She asked.

Blocky stopped in front of her. "Uh, could you help me test one of the pranks I'm working on?"

Taco rubbed the back of her head. Her eyes looked away from him. "I mean, sure, I guess. I don't have anything else to do."

Blocky smiled. "Great!" He grabbed her hand suddenly. "Let's go." He started running away with her, startling Taco a little, although she managed to keep up the pace with him.

Soon they got to a small building. It was a tacky cardboard house. "What is this?" Taco asked, curiously.

"Just step in." Blocky opened the "door."

Taco hesitated. "Are you sure about this?"

Blocky smirked. "Cmon, what's there to be afraid of? It's just a simple prank."

Taco gave him a teasing smile and put her hands on her hips. "I dunno, how about you go in first?"

Blocky kept the same confident smile. "Sure." He stepped in.

A moment passed and nothing happened. Taco was now confused. "Huh?"

She studied Blocky. He was definitely inside the room, staring at her with confidence. There was a small pressure plate he was standing on, but it wasn't doing anything.

"Well? Coming in or not?" Blocky asked her.

Taco was clueless. "Uhhhh.. I guess so, then." She took a few steps forward into the small room with him. As soon as she stepped into the pressure plate with him, something fell on top of both of them. It was one of X's baskets.

Taco fell face flat onto the ground. Blocky was sitting. "Hey, it worked."

Taco got up with a small groan. She looked around at their small encased, sort of, cage. "But.. what?"

"What is it?" Blocky asked calmly.

"This doesn't seem right." Taco said.

"How?"

"This prank doesn't feel like.. you."

"It doesn't?" He asked, although it sounded kind of fake.

"Yeah. Why would you trap someone in a basket? And the pressure plate only triggers when two people stand on it."

Blocky's expression was stern.

"Blocky, are you trying to set two people up?"

"No."

Taco gave a suspicious hum, eyeing at him and his expression, which didn't budge. "This feels too set up." She turned to face away from him. Her face heated up a little thinking about her next question. "Blocky," she hesitated. She took a shaky breath and tensed. "Are you trying to set us up?"

Blocky's stern and unreadable expression faltered a bit. He was silent for a second. "What if I am?" He spoke softly.

Silence overcame both of them. Neither of them knew what to say next. Blocky kept his eyes averted to the floor, and Taco looked down at her hands, which she had folded and fiddled with.

"I'm sorry, Taco. Maybe this was a bad-" Blocky was cut off.

"No, don't say that." Taco quickly interrupted. Blocky looked up at her. She was still facing away from him. "Blocky, if you were interested in me, you could've just said so, straight up." She shyly turned around and forced her eyes to lock onto his. "You doing this for me was unnecessary. I would've.." she paused, her heart throbbing a bit. "I would've said yes to you, either way. I'm willing to try and date you to see if we're compatible together, alright?" A hand of hers gently falls onto his shoulder. His expression seems conflicted.

He lets out a sigh. "Sorry about this, Taco." His voice deepens. "Didn't mean to make it awkward."

Taco's expression changes into a light-hearted smile. Her face gets closer to his. "Don't worry about it, Blocky. I understand." She gives him a peck on the cheek. "Now let's start off this experiment together, shall we?" She opens up the basket with an arm.

Blocky's face slightly flushed. A quiet, stifled laugh escaped him and he smiled at her. "Let's do it, Taco."

Short oneshot cause yeah. I'll be honest, Taco and Blocky are pretty cute. This probably will be the only time I'll write about these two in this way, but we'll see. I'm really sad Taco and Blocky both got eliminated. Fuck Flower and Gelatin. They feel so boring imo. But oh well. But yeah, so I hope you guys enjoyed. See you again in a year :)
