Needle couldn't recall what happened the past five minutes. All she knew was she was in a building in flames. It was starting to warm up, making her sweat. The room she was in wasn't on fire, but the other rooms below her were.

She stood, dazed at the situation.

Leave idiot! Dont you want to live?

Needle shook her head, and with her head spinning, she started going down the steps.

Itd been a normal day at work. In the office, working on her computer, minding her own business.

An explosion went off, popping Needls ears, a strong buzz, like a dog whistles, repeating in her head.

Then she was there. People yelled "Fire!" and "Evacuate, now!"

There was complete chaos throughout the building. She quickly ran down the stairs as fast as she could with her heels.

Needle could feel the temperature rise throughout the atmosphere.

She coughed. Her eyes closed from the  clouds of smoke coming towards the top of the building.

She tripped, and tumbled down to the next floor. Her face sweat a lot, as she grimaced in pain from the fall.

She swore she sprained an ankle or shoulder. She used her left arm to help herself up onto her knees.

She just accepted her fate. She was as well as dead now. She closed her eyes, waiting for her inevitable end.

Something touched her shoulder. She squinted and saw a man who had his left arm covering his mouth, as he held his hand out to her.

Nickel. She took his hand, and he helped her down the steps to the first floor. Needle sputtered and coughed, her knees and arm growing sorer by the minute.

Nickel painted with exhaustion and dehydration from the raging flames that engulfed the building. Needle fell, her legs trembling weakly.

Nickel coughed more. He shook her shoulder, and she could hear a faint "Get out!"

She got onto her knees and crawled. Her legs could barely move her forward. A few firefighters were seen outside, trying to move some rubble out of the doorway to get to Needle.

She smiled, happy that she had a chance to continue her life.

The building shook as the infrastructure crumbled.

Nickel noticed a crack forming in the ceiling, about to fall on Needle. Instead of staying away from the building he had exited, he reentered, and ran up to Needle.

He grabbed her shoulders, and shoved her toward the doorway, as the ceiling collapsed onto Nickels body.

Needle yelled "No!"

Nickel noticed and shook his head with all the strength he had. He got to save a life, that's what matters. He was a hero. He did something useful in his useless life. And he was happy. He was gonna die a happy man.

Needle shook her head, and tears formed as she watched the man who saved her, rest his body, as the flames engulfed his body, leaving him behind in the dust.

Damn, I'm making these super short. So, I kinda hope this is good. I'm sorry for making this one super short, but whatever. I don't know what else to say. Good night.
