Chapter 2 Bella P.O.V (rewriten)

I was exhausted as I flung my bag onto the chair in front of my desk, not paying attention I threw my heavy body onto my bed. A light crinkle under my head pricked my curiosity, I slowly raised my arm to pick up something small and brown and rectangular. I flew up blinking through the dizzy spell, caused by the blood rushing to my head and I stared at my name, something I had seen written down since young, but the handwriting was one I had not seen in years but still had not changed a day, my sister. I thought back to the last time I had contact with Hermione.

Flashback

I was with Edward in his room, he was holding me close to his chest I could feel his cold skin, as usual, sending sparks of pleasure around my body as we sway to Edward's music. My phone started ringing in my bag, at first I thought it was Charlie but I did not recognise the number 

"Hello," I asked, I almost dropped my phone when I heard the voice on the other end response

"Hello Bella, sorry I can not talk long but something very bad and very dangerous is happening, I love you to the ends of the earth, tell Charlie I love him too," I tried to interrupt my sister and asked what was going on but she carried on talking "I might not survive this I just wanted you to know" as she finished her sentence I could hear the sobs she was choking back

"What, wait, what is happening" I practically shouted down the phone but the only response I got was a long continuous beep. Edward was by my side in a heartbeat, I did not resist as he took my phone from my shaking hand and wrapped his arms tightly around me as I sobbed into his shirt.

being held in Edward's arms made me feel safe and able to breathe as my thoughts raced through my mind "what's wrong?" he asked carefully

"She... she... and she might" my mind was in such a state that I could not think state nether could I form a sentence properly, I felt Edward's arm on the back of my legs before in the blink of an eye I was being cradled in Edward's arms 

Edward sat down on his sofa, he held me tighter and slowly started to rock me whilst stroking my hair. Cary and Jasper walked past the room and instantly Jasper had a look of pain come over his perfect features

My whole body felt like lead as I paced around the living room of the Cullen's house nothing making sense as I tried to make sense of it all despite their best effort none of them had been able to get a single word out of me. Alice had called Charlie saying that I was staying there for the rest of the weekend for a sleepover yesterday, Esme stepped in front of me stopping me from continuing another lap of the grand living room "why don't you have something to eat or at least get some sleep,"

"No, No, not until I know, I can't" my voice was crocky as it was the first words I had said in days, as tears started to fall all over again. A little brown owl tapped on the window, not caring how strange it appeared, I ran to the window and pushed it open, the owl flew into the living room doing one full circle of the room before dropping a letter at my feet. I quickly picked it up and held it close to my chest, hoping, praying for some good news, to know she was safe.

Dear, Hermione Jean Granger's family
It is my deepest regret to inform you that Hermione Jean Granger,
left on a mission with Harry James Potter and Ronald Bilius Weasley
and has not been seen or heard from in a long time she
is being considered as missing.
I am terribly sorry to deliver this news to you.

My head continued racing faster than before, I was numb all I could do was blink the tears that filled my eyes, Esme gently picked up my hands and lead me over to the sofa, I could not believe it she could not be missing I needed her. It had been several days since I last slept, but I did not want to until I knew that Hermione was alive. With a nod from Edward and Esme, Jasper knelt down in front of me, taking my hands in his and I started to feel my heart rate slow down, my eyes started to feel heavy and I knew what he was trying to do "no, I don't want to sleep, no I can't" I tried to get my hands out of Jasper's hand but I struggled to keep my eyes open and soon I fell asleep.

Present

A lump formed in my throat as I slowly opened the letter, Edward claimed in through the window, "my god!" I felt tears pick up in my eyes as I turned to face Edward

"What is it," he asked me making his way over to me

"She is alive" the tears started falling down my cheeks, and we just sat in silence on the end of my bed he just held me gently rocking me, I fell asleep dreaming of when my sister would be back with me, it had been to many years and I missed her so much.

Note: I realised that I did not introduce a new character before I started this book I have added in another Cullen called Cary who is Jaspers mate. Alice is single in this book
