Simple

We were still laughing when we bid our goodbyes.

As soon as I put my phone down someone knocked on the door. I went straight to it and opened it.

I saw nanay Nina the head maid of the mansion. She's been here for decades. Matagal na siyang mayordoma dito mula yata noong magkamalay ako ay siya na ang tagapamahala ng mga katulong sa buong mansion.

"What is it?" I asked her.

"Dinner's ready." She informed me. I nodded at her and closed the door behind me.

Wala sa sariling napatingin ako sa bintana. It's raining heavily. "Rough weather." I mumbled and hugged myself.

Pababa pa lang ako ng hagdan pero rinig na rinig ko na ang boses ng kapatid ko.

"Then everyone screamed like 'ahhh!' Then I shouted like 'woah!'" Lia told them with actions and facial expressions.

Nasa hapag na sila at naka-upo sa kaniya-kaniyang silya. They were all laughing on one of Lia's stories which she dubbed as 'Lia's Adventures'

Ka-uupo ko palang nang dumating bigla ang isang katulong. "Miss Secret may naghahanap po sa inyo."

My forehead creased. Who would look for me on such a bad weather?

I nodded at the middle aged maid and excused myself. Umalis na ako sa hapag at tinungo ang dalawang malalaking pinto ng mansion.

"What the!" I shouted in surprise when I saw who was at the mansion's door step. "You're all wet! What were you thinking?!" I panicked and pulled his arm to let him in.

"Towel, miss." Nanay Nina handed me a towel. Agad ko itong kinuha at ipinatong sa kaniya.

"I'm sorry, I-I was just worried." He apologized. "When I can't contact you, I became paranoid so I decided to go after you. I was actually at the airport when I called earlier." He explained.

"You're really crazy, dibs." I said and helped him dry his hair.

Namula ang tenga ni Lin kaya na tawa ako. "Are you seriously blushing?" I teased him.

"I-Ikaw kasi e. You seriously called me 'dibs'? No more returns? No take backs?" He asked looking straight into my eyes.

I smiled at him. "I called you dibs so that means you are officially and rightfully mine." I pinched his nose. "Did you grew taller?" I asked when I noticed that I can't reach his hair without tipping my toes.

"No?" He unsurely answered.

I looked intently at him. "Oh!" I snapped when I realized what it is. "It's because you're not slouching and always looking down anymore."

"Because you gave me confidence and you are also my mitochondria." He said looking at me.

I felt my face heated when I realized what he meant.

"You give me power whenever I feel low." He continued. Parang sasabog na ang mukha ko sa pagka-pula.

"Who are you?" Tito suddenly came out of the dining area.

Naka-pukol ang mapanuri niyang mga mata kay Lin. Ramdam ko ang panlalamig ng mga kamay niya at ang malakas na kabog ng dibdib niya.

"Who is this young man, Secret?" Tito asked me with a serious facade.

"He's Lincoln, tito. He's...." I paused and looked at him, he moved his gaze down. "My prodigious boyfriend." I continued as I intertwined our fingers. Agad siyang nagangat ng tingin at bakas ang gulat sa mukha niya.
