Nightmare

"Ingat ka sa paguwi ah!" Mamangs waved her hand.

"Opo!" He replied while chuckling. They really enjoyed each other's company. Pauwi na siya ngayon mag-a-alas nuebe na rin kasi. "Got to go, pi. You take care here okay?" Aniya at ginulo pa ang buhok ko.

I frowned at him. "Aso ba 'ko?" I finger comb my hair as if it would make a difference. "Samahan na kita sa sakayan."

"'Wag na, pi. Gano'n pa rin naman, ihahatid kita pabalik dito." He chuckled.

"Ay ewan ko sayo. Lumayas ka na nga lang." I said while pushing him. He chuckled and said his goodbyes for the last time and started walking away.

I drank a bottle of mineral water that Mike handed me. Mahigit isang linggo na rin kasi mula noong ipakilala ko si Lin kay mamangs. I can say that it turned out great but I can't help but notice that Lin is going through something. Nitong mga nakaraang araw kasi ay parang lagi siyang walang gana.

"Alis na 'ko paps!" I shouted at our coach half skipping while still tying my laces.

Lagi kasing si Lin ang nagdadala ng lunch ko, so today I decided to make him some moron and binagol— a waray delicacy, as a snack.

Magaalas singko na, ang alam ko ay hanggang four-thirty lang sila ngayon. Usually he would go to the soccer field to watch me play pero mukhang iba ngayon.

I ran to the narra garden, where we first met. Hindi naman ako nabigo dahil naroon nga siya. I saw him sitting on a bench under my swing and a group of babies were in front of him.

"Huh! Akala mo kung sino just because you're Secret's boyfriend!" Sigaw ng lider nilang tunog naiipit na daga. Dinuro-duro niya ang noo ni Lin. He just looked at them as if not interested about anything.

One of my brows shot up when I got closer. Oh you again. Blaire Marie Castro, this triple B's! Baby brat biatch!

"Did you really think that you can make takas from us just because you have her?! Well news flash, you can't!" She continued shouting at Lin. Just like his usual self, he doesn't mind fighting back so I did it for him.

"Oh can't he now, Baby?" I smirked at her, my voice filled with mockery.

I saw them gasped upon my arrival. Hindi nakatakas sa akin ang bahagya nilang pag-atras.

"Sup, Marie! You were saying again?" I asked her again and took a step forward that made them take a step backward.

I saw how Castro cringe upon hearing her second name. Alam ko namang ayaw niya sa pangalang iyon, but who cares? ayoko rin naman sa kaniya.

They tugged each other's arm as if communicating without words. My head tilted a little to look at her backup.

Oh dear me! Who would pick such sleazy backups? Oh! The leader is too anyways so fair enough.

"You were saying?" I asked her again. This time with gritted teeth and leaning forward to her direction to intimidate her and her rabiesed dogs.

"This is so unfair! We're not done yet nerd!" She shouted like a kid, sounding so bratty. Tumalikod na sila at nag-uunahan pang umalis.

Tsk brats!

"Huy, dibs, ano nanaman 'yon bakit hinahayaan mo lang? Number one bully mo na yata iyong si Blaire e." I nagged at him. But he seems to be spacing out. Mukhang malalim talaga ang iniisip. I sighed and sat beside him. I held his hand that made him look at me.

"Pi, you're here?" He looked at me with confusion. I gave him a little smile.

"What is it, dibs? Is there a problem?"
