Fix

The mixed smell of smoke and alcohol attacked my nostrils. People moved like wild animals together with the dancing neon lights.

"Engineer!" "Come on let's dance!" She gave me a sluttish dance. Nagtwerk pa ito sa lalaking katabi niya.

Natatawang napailing nalang ako. "Ayoko!" I shouted because of the booming music that was drowning my voice.

"Ano ba 'yan. Your New York City night life is so boring." She rolled her eyes. She likes learning new languages kaya ayon.

"Let's go na kasi!" Mei pulled one of my arms. She successfully dragged me to the dance floor.

"Oh, hi there gorgeous!" He bit his bottom lip after eyeing me from head to toe.

Manyak

Iyon ang unang pumasok sa isip ko. I did not protest when he held my waist.

Maybe I should have a little fun.

I examined his face. He's got blond hair, slightly disheveled but I bet black's better disheveled, I've seen it. Thick brows but I know someone who has thicker ones and perfectly arched too, too good for a man.

Blue eyed, but I know grey orbs are better and his stares were tantalizing. It can penetrate deep into your whole being. He's got a pointed nose, but I bet his was way better. His thin lips parted when he noticed me staring. I know someone who's got plumped red lips. When this man tilted his head I saw his strong jawline but his was perfect! too evident that it would shame the jaws of those Gods who lived on mount Olympus.

"Staring is rude." He smirked at me. I was snapped out of my thoughts.

Why am I even comparing?! Geezing Neptunes! What was I thinking?!

It has already been, what? Two— oh wait. It has already been more than three years. Three long years and he still haunts my days and nights.

"S-Sorry." I pulled away. Out of the dance floor full of wild animals dressed as humans.

"Hay!"

"Come on, engineer you should enjoy your night. Bukas alis ka nanaman for Barcelona." Mei handed me a shot of whiskey. I looked at her seriously.

"I have a flight tomorrow."

"Tomorrow afternoon." She grinned, correcting me.

"Tss. Fine!" I rolled my eyes and accepted the drink she offered.

I just found myself dancing with different men and the next thing I knew is I woke up with a major headache.

I groaned when I felt like my world was spinning and hundreds of hammers were hammering my brain. I reached my medicine kit on my side table. I got an advil out and reached again for a glass of water.

Nakaramdam ako ng kaunting ginhawa pagkatapos kong uminom. I stared at the colorful ceiling as I exhale.

Tatlong taon.

Maraming nangyari. I became what I wanted, a successful painter-engineer. I decided to pursue my love for art after I took the licensure exams.

Hindi ko alam kung paano but the Yakamura Towers made sure that I can do the licensure exam in Japan. They liked my performance too much that they didn't want to let go of me. I saw that as an opportunity to escape from that family so I held unto it.
