Miss

The skies are blue, not a single cloud seen. The trees are greener than green and the breeze felt warm. But ain't warm enough to call home.

Tatlong buwan.

Tatlong buwan na akong nangungulila sa pamilya ko. I didn't want to do this, I had options, great offers but I can't handle seeing Lin inside that mansion.

Wala akong mukhang maihaharap sa kaniya. We wrecked their family. Kami, ako, ang rason kung bakit ang pagmamahal na matagal niya nang ninanais ay hindi niya maabot-abot.

Hindi naging madali ang mga desisyon ko pero alam kong kailangan namin ito. We need to grow separately. Hindi ko pa rin makalimutan kung paano ako na punta rito.

"Aalis na kami ni Lia. I don't want to decide for my children. I trust them and they know what they're doing." Mamangs held her luggages.

"Mangs 'wag namang ganito. I'm coming with you." I said and held my backpack too.

"What's happening?!" Gulong-gulo si Promise sa lahat ng nangyayari.

"We're leaving because they don't want us here. At ayokong nasasaktan kayo lalong-lalo na ng lalaking ito." She glared at Mr. Ramirez. I actually didn't expect that my mother would be this mean to him. Lagi kasi siyang mabait e.

"Please stay." He begged down on his knees.

Seeing this high and mighty man kneeling in front of us finally melted the ice in my mother's heart. Naging mas madali ito dahil magbabakasyon daw ang madame kinabukasan. We stayed that night and the other and the other until we can count no more.

Father offered me to have my ojt at a famous construction firm. It was a great deal actually but things got out of hand. Kasabay ng pagbabalik ni madame Yesha ang balitang nagpalakas nang kabog ng dibdib ko.

"My son's coming home! And we're announcing his engagement with Nathalia!" She announced.

Engagement? K-Kailan pa naging sila?

"Dad!" I felt like my heart made a summersault upon hearing his voice. Nakangiti niyang niyakap ang ama. When his eyes landed on me.

I saw tons of emotions anger, betrayal, pain, grief, happiness and passion. I never new one man can hold such emotions with just one stare.

"Pi, what are you doing here?" My knees trembled when he called me on that name. He roamed his eyes and saw my family. His face shifted into darkness upon realization. "K-Kayo?"

One word and it turned my body into jelly. Mas sumidhi ang takot ko sa galit na aking nababanaag sa dating mapupungay na mga mata. Gusto kong maglaho nalang. If aliens are real then I would be glad if they abduct me now, right now.

I had no courage to answer him so I turned my back and ran away. My brain was in haywire. Parang bumalik lahat ng sakit at narealize ko na hindi talaga kami pwede.

He's my brother and he's getting married!

When my Japan OJT called and announced that they need new interns immediately due to an earthquake. The day after that I flew to Japan. Mamangs helped me with funding my flight.

Balisa at tila wala sa sarili. This is the KL's effect. I can't think straight! siyang siya lang talaga ang naiisip ko.

Nang makarating ako ay saka ko lang naramdaman ang lungkot, takot at pangungulila. I heard that after several days mamangs and Lia moved out of the mansion.

"Wala na kasing rason para manatili pa kami roon." Mamangs said as I talk to her on skype.

"Siguro mabuti na rin 'yon para siguradong 'di ka gagawing mutchacha ni madame."
