After Math Pt 4

"No problem sir it was a  pleasure closing up the surf shop"

y/n's grandpa smiles 

he leans into y/n 
"see meeting people isn't bad huh" he jabs the brunette with his elbow 

rolling her eyes at the man she pays her attention back to jj 

my Grandpa points a cheese fry at jj 

"surf lessons are in session tommorow got it"

jj salutes him and picks up his burger Joe (the name for the grandpa) got him 

jj picks up his plate and hands it to me 

"here try it" he mumbles a mouthful 

i laugh and try it my eyes widening 

"oh my god this is to die for" i mumble a mouthful 

"your treat" he smiles after swallowing 

handing me the cheese fries 

silent fills the table while everyone eats my grandma daisy starts the conversation and it has to be about me 

"so jj where are you bringing our lovely grandchild to" she raises an eyebrow at jj 

"oo so i was thinking" he starts winking my way 

"i was going to show her around the outerbanks by going to a party tonight" 

my grandpa makes that faces where they are dissapointed  the one where they don't let you finish talking 

"joe i know you hate parties but how is she going to live her life to the fullest stuck reading, look i will bring her home at 1 if that's fine since the party doesn't start until late and i will keep her by my side the entire time" his hands fly in the air talking making deals and negotiations with my grandparents 

"i think we should joe she has been stuck at the house every day let her go out get some sun" she nudges him with her arm

"yeah" i chirp 

jj smiles and claps really loud making all the people looking at him 

he hollers 

"thank you" he replies grabbing my arm and waving a bye 

"bye love you" i shout 

daisy laughs and smiles putting down her napkin while joe rolls his eyes 

"they are so cute" daisy softly says 

"i think he is falling in love" joe says proudly

"i mean after the whole john b thing he was jacked up and now he is"

"In love" daisy finishes for him 

he nods while his eyes travel to the pair running to the van 

"BYEEE" jj says waving with one hand while our hands were interwined with one another's 

jj laughs while we make it to the van we get in taking deep breaths he stops and shifts his weight towards me in the car

"so i might've lied"

my eyes widen 

"what part did you lie about"i question 

"what time the party started"

i scoff playfully 

"well what time does it start"

"right now"

i look out the window seeing the sun starting to set 

"well lets get a move on" i yell 

he starts the engine and drives off with the windows down 

hair flying all over the place hands outside the van twirling her hair 

she looks over to jj's soft fluffy hair getting in his face the biggest smile on his face 

Live couldn't get any better lets hope the party will make it way better
