Strangers

you are that one person i look for in a crowd even if i don't even know who you are. We're not really strangers he's known but i'm not. But Somehow Someway when i look at him it doesn't hurt anymore, but in a crowded room you are the one i noticed, the one that stands out like no other.

How is this possible?

How can someone who is complete strangers with someone have memories

The slights shoulder bumps when we walk past each other in the hallway, or how they know each others name but won't call out to each other.

Why?

It's because they are afraid of the outcome of getting to know each other. Its common i guess.

There's a girl in the back of the class not the front, she's not perfect nor the opposite, messy hair not perfectly put up in a bun or curled. decent handwriting if she tried. But the difference between is one keeps their head down like its depended of them while the other not so much.

Therefore a blonde boy, loud as ever even in the morning time, cracking jokes with his group of friends 3 boys 1 girl. And the non-perfect girl listens to all of them smiling small here and there.

No love story, they are not lovers, both of them trying to find their way but spoiler alert they need each other to reach that goal. She knows herself inside and out, how she will never be enough even if she thrived and is determine with what she does. While he wishes that he could be at least enough for someone, just not her.

Class goes its usual way, lesson begins, teacher explains with no help whatsoever and you work by yourself or with a partner maybe even a big group. She hates those days when you have to work with a partner it's not fair enough to her.

And he knows that

But today was that day

"hey you okay" a girl asked

instead of looking at her feet walk with speed and determination to get to the next lecture, she bumps into someone and that someone happens to be the group of 3 boys and 1 girl.

At least she bumped into the girl

"i'm fine" i answer quickly

"are you sure" her grip tightens holding on like her life depended on it that she needed to know how she really was doing.

"yeah i'm sure" she faintly smiles before hurrying off to the bathroom

"weird" the brunette says as he looks at the girl trying to rub the grip the girl once held, like she needs to cut her arm off

What was she supposed to say?

Stupid Stupid Stupid she thought slamming her hands on her head while sliding down onto the cold hard dirty tile.

She couldn't say no, cause then she would just get pity and she doesn't need or want that

"What you do not see in yourself, others see in you" she repeats over and over

a stall clicks open, the definition of perfect walks out while screwing her face in pure disgust

"freak" she whispers flicking her hair off her shoulder making it align with the rest of her amber red hair.

I had no reason to be fine

"people have much worse than me" she says once the girl leaves, the bell rings but she doesn't feel like going to class, not with what happened today

Grades are perfect, a perfect smile that gets people to not question with whats really going on in the inside. the filth that when people touch her memories go back, in the shower rubbing that specific spot raw for hours on end.

Just to get the feeling out of my head.

Out Out Out

i can't be here

Leaving hastily she bumps into yet another person

The Stranger

"y/n?" the blonde points

he knows your name

"jj?" i say

What else i have no humor in me like before

"class started 30 minutes ago what are you doing?"

"i should be asking you the same thing" i cover my mouth

Too much has came out

he chuckles

"you got me there"

i smile uncontrobally

Stop Smiling

"don't tell me the good girl is skipping" he laughs

You know nothing about me

"i needed air" i admit

"let's go outside" he states leading the way to the double doors

the seagulls gawk and the sand crunches beneath my toes, long ways past the school it was silent

And there is nothing more louder than with stranger who need each other unconditionally

"can i ask you something" i sputter out

Stop talking

"do i have much of a choice" he answers

"are we just strangers? or are we afraid to cross that line" i confess

Very Straightforward

"Straightforward huh" he states rubbing the back of his neck

"decided to let it out getting fresh air" i say sarcastically

Wow being sarcastic

"afraid" he answers

i nod along with him

"my turn"he says turning to face me

"when will we ever cross that line?"

"depends on who you are asking" i say simply

"well i'm asking you" he remarks earning me an eye roll while he smirks proudly

"you got me there" i point laughing

"how about we start right now" i pull out my hand

" we obviously need each other so we keep this secret, whatever you need i'm there for you and you are there for me. rules no telling anyone-"

"understandable" jj buts in

"if we want this to work you need to tell me what you are feeling at all times, no judging and no fixing each other"

"i'm fine with this if you commit to your own rules" jj intrudes

I nod

"fair enough"

"so tonight" he starts

"i come by your place 10:00 open your window"

"may i ask why?"

"i have trouble sleeping at night which i will explain tonight" he stands up dusting himself off

"see you later stranger" he salutes
