apollo breathed in a little, as he took out his pen and notebook, it took awhile for the witness to finally finish his lecture, and finally started to testify

'That night, I passed through the park on my way home from shopping... when I saw them!, One man, pulling a stand. Another man, facing him, I saw them quite clearly. The man facing the victim was the defendant, In his hand he held... yes, a pistol! It was pointed at the man pulling the stand, A shot! The bullet hit the man pulling the stand from the front, square in the forehead!'

as apollo was finishing up writing the details, the judge looked very deep in thought

'Hmm... Was there anyone else in the park at that time?'

'I can say with 100% accuracy that there was not'

he said in a matter of tone voice

'The pistol our witness refers to... is this'

he said as he showed off the murder weapon, the judge allowed the evidence to be accepted, trucy went over and took the gun, apollo jumped when she saw how she was holding it

'Whoa! Don't point that thing to me!'

'Don't worry! I can handle myself around guns. Magic guns, at least. The ones that pigeons come out of'

she promised, apollo however, only responded with a sarcastic tone of voice

'...Very reasuring'

after that little show, the judge banged down his gavel

'Very well. Mr. Justice, you may cross-examine the witness'

apollo nodded a little nervously

'...Yes, Your Honor'

when he was about to look back down at his notebook, he saw trucy staring at the witness, very carefully, ..it was like she was studying him

'Uh... Trucy? Why are you staring like that at the witness?'

'That man... I can't help but feel I've seen him somewhere before'

she said, squinting her eyes at him, her father always said one thing to her, trust her instincts, apollo took a little mental note of that, as he went on with the cross-examination, ..it took awhile before he was finally able to find a contradiction, he pulled out the autopsy report from his bag

"Whew... If that's all of it, I think I have a chance"

klavier grinned as he teased the defense team, ever since he met apollo he always noticed how on edge he looked

'Is that you... relaxing, I see, Herr Justice?'

apollo blushed a tint red as he jumped, klavier had to bit back a laugh, that was funny, ..and a little cute

'Huh? Oh, er... Ahem! Objection!!!'

he yelled out, the judge blinked at him

'...Once is quite enough, Mr. Justice'

trucy gently patted his back

'Apollo! Pace yourself! This trial's not over yet!'

'Urk! Eh, right! Ahem, um, look at this!'

he said nervously as he presented the evidence to the court, the judge raised a brow

'The... autopsy report? Is there a problem with the autopsy report?'

apollo felt his blood-pressure rise up as he sweated bullets a little, if he was being completely honest, ..a part of him was bluffing

'Um, right, a problem... Problem... problem... Yes!!! The problem is the location of the entry wound!'

'The location...?'

apollo nodded as he turned his head at stickler

'You testified that the killer shot the victim "square in the forehead", did you not?'

stickler flipped a page in his book, then looked up from his page

'Ah, I have already determined your "angle" of inquiry. ...Allow me to explain. It is quite simple, really: First, understand that when I say "square", I speak not of geometrical absolute. What do I mean by this? For example, the defection of a "meter" is 1,650,763.73 times the wavelength of the light emitted by a krypton particle, as we all know. In addition, it is a well known fact that krypton particles are rare, and invisible to the naked eye, which points to a basic fallacy in your line of reasoning, namely, that wh--'

the judge cut him off

'Mr. Justice'

'Yes?'

'Was your objection to these, er, krypton particle things?'

klavier then chimed in

'This is the big time, and you are obsessed with something so small? You disappoint me'

apollo pouted as he blushed a tint of red again, ..he'll show that smug showoff with his grin!!

'N-N-No! I'm obsessed with something big! I mean, there's a bigger, less nitpicky problem here!'

'Do tell...'

the judge motioned, aopllo then pointed right at it

'Just look at the autopsy report! The location of the entry wound was... ...the right temple!'

'T-Temple...?'

stickler said, stuttering a little bit, apollo eyes widen a little as he knew he was close to something

'Mr. Stickler, you said quite clearly that the victim was shot "square in the forehead"! That's a contradiction! ...Isn't it?'

he added a bit awkwardly, the court started to murmer to themselves

"It is, right? Finally!"

just when he finally thought he had something, klavier shook his head, snapping his fingers

'Herr Justice... Oh, Herr Justice...'

apollo looked up at him

'Yes...?'

'Your tactics are outdated, Trying to shake the witness by objecting to trifles?'

apollo semi-glared at him

'...! Look, I know the wound was in the wrong place according to this testimony!'

sticlker sweated a bit as he stammered on his words nervously

'Nyurk...!'

klavier grinned as he kept his cool

'Hey, Herr Forehead...'

apollo shot his head towards him, his cheeks turning more redder

"F... "Forehead"!?, d-did he just call me "Herr Forehead?!"

'Let us imagine you are walking through the park. You see two men facing each other. One with a pistol trained on the other. ...What would you do, Herr Forehead?'

apollo growled at first when being called herr forehead, after he asked that question, he started too stammer on his words

'Well, I... I guess... I would try to stop them. I'd probably shout, "Stop!"'

klavier then looked over at trucy

'And you, Fräulein?'

'M-Me? Well... I'd probably scream, "Eeeeeek!"'

finally, he turned his head at the witness

'And you, Herr Stickler? What did you shout, I wonder?'

apollo eyes widen as he realized what he was doing

'Ack...!'

"If the victim turned his head at the last moment...*gulp*"

'...Ah yes. Thank you for jogging my memory'

he said, going back to refined composure, the judge then banged down his gavel

'It sounds like an addendum to the testimony is required'

apollo quickly flipped a page in his notebook as he proceeded to write down the newer testimony
