Proposal

"Midnight", a couple of days after phoenix was checked out of the clinic and was finishing up on his recovery

'miles where are we going?'

phoenix asked as he stared out the car window, looking up at the night sky and the city beings passing, they had been driving for the past 20 minutes in silence, miles refused to tell him anything about where they were going, and what they were even doing, all he did was tell phoenix to dress up and get in the car

phoenix wore a long black coat with a white shirt, black ripped pants, black combat boots with fingerless gloves and a blue rose in his hair, miles wore something similar, a red skirt button-up dress shirt with black dress pants and shoes

'as I've said before, It's a surprise

phoenix glared at him from the corner of his eyes, miles just grinned at his irritated expression, his boyfriend was cute when he was angry sometimes

'miles, you've been driving. for the past 40 minutes!!, where are we going?!'

'you'll see'

he "hmphed" as he stared out the window again in silence, another ten minutes had passed, and finally, they stopped, phoenix looked around the place, they were at some sort of castle-like building

'..what is this place?'

miles said nothing as he took his hand, phoenix blushed a tint of red at the sudden affection, both of them weren't the most affectionate physically, especially in public, so this was a surprise, they walked up to the front door, phoenix saw how miles took something out from his pocket, they were tickets, the security guard nodded and opened the door for them both

phoenix's eyes widen at what he saw, it was a library, similar to the one where miles took him when they first go together, but this one was different, this one was somehow, even more, grander and bigger, millions and millions of books were scattered all over the place, they were at least 40 floors, they used chandeliers and candles to light up the place, there was even a huge fireplace in the middle of the main floor, it was the most beautiful palace he had ever been in

'm-miles, ..t-this is..i-i--'

phoenix didn't have any words to say, he couldn't talk, ..he was so overwhelmed he didn't know how to process any of this, miles gently took his hand again as he both started to walk to the far end of the floor and ended up at the darkest area in the whole place

'..miles?'

miles pulled a book from the shelf, and suddenly, the entire bookshelf opened up, to a dark underground cave entrance, phoenix stared at it in awe, miles gently dragged him inside and started leading him, he could barely see anything aside from miles,  finally after what seemed like hours they stopped walking, miles knocked on the door once, and the door instantly opened up, inside, was the most magical thing phoenix had ever witnessed

the entire floor was in dark beautiful deep blue and violet, their were stars all over the ceiling, and they looked almost like real actual stars, from the ground itself were thousands and thousands of astronomy books

'i know how much you love constellations, and this library marked it as their most secretive place in the whole library, it's very hard to find it'

phoenix felt his eyes tear up slightly

'y-you did all of this for me?'

'their's more, come'

'm-more?!'

phoenix stuttered out as miles gently walked him towards the telescope area, he pointed up at the ceiling, phoenix felt like crying out of pure happiness, the entire ceiling was covered in constellations

'i had this entire area rented just for us for a few hours, nobody is allowed up here except for us'

phoenix didn't know what to say, he had to swallow the lump in his throat before he could speak properly

'..i-i love this..i..., t-this is amazing..'

he said in a quite tone of voice, miles then took both of his hands

'phoenix'

he said, taking in a deep mental breathe, he had spent the last 5 months preparing for this, he wanted everything to be perfect, and he hoped he had bought the right ring

'i love you'

miles said, as he stared into phoenix's dark blue eyes, from afar they looked black, but once you get a closer look you would see the beautiful mysterious dark blue sapphire ocean eyes in them, making the black look apart from the night sky in them

'm-miles?-'

'throughout these years of us being together has been the happiest years of my life.., despite my flaws you've accepted me for who i am, and i want to spend the rest of my life with you'

miles took his one hand as he got down on one knee, phoenix eyes started to tear up as he watched his boyfriend take out a black velvet box from his pocket, he opened it up and inside was a ring, it was a shimming gold and it was shaped into a rose, and the crucial was made to look like rose vines with leaves, the crystal rose was a dark blue with a little black gemstone in the middle, it was the most beautiful ring phoenix had ever seen

'phoenix wright, will you marry me'

phoenix covered his mouth with his one hand in complete shock, his eyes glittered with tears 

"i-is this really happening?!"

 he chocked up on tears but still gave his answer

'y-yes!!, yes!!'

miles stood up as he hugged him tightly in his arms, letting him cry into his shoulder, phoenix started to sob, he hid his face in the crook of his neck, catching his breath

'i-i'm sorry'

'it's okay

miles said in a quiet tone his voice cracking a little as he let his own tears of happiness fall, ... every day for the past months he worried about phoenix's answer, they talked about marriage for a while, ..his boyfriend, ..was now his fiance, ..they were gonna get married
