Apollo looked up from his bench as he stared at the judge

'The prosecution has a rather convincing case. The only way in and out of the crime scene was watched. Making the defendant the only one who could possibly leave the scene. Simple, and decisive'

he said, apollo wanted to argue back, but even he knew he the judge was right, the evidence was solid

'I believe we've heard enough to determine our verdict. Even if I wasn't in a hurry to make a hospital visit'

'I'm sure the Chief Justice will appreciate the gesture. Unfortunately, we have no direct witnesses. Fortunately, the criminal left decisive evidence for us. That will have to be enough'

klavier said, apollo gritted his teeth

"Argh! It can't be over already!"

'Very well, I believe this trial is finished. If the defense has no contradicting evidence...?'

he trailed off, waiting for apollo to speak up, instead, it was klaiver

'The prosecution has presented our proof, clear and plain. If you have contradicting evidence... ...it'd better be clear and plain'

trucy nudged at apollo's arm

'Ack, Apollo! They've got us on the ropes already! We'd better come up with something quick!'

'I know! I know!'

apollo flipped through his notebook, their had to be something that could help turn this whole case around, Mr wright always managed to do that

"Think! What can get us out of this!? We need evidence, or a witness, that can prove Machi is innocent beyond a doubt. Without that..."

apollo nervously swallowed down the lump that was forming in his throat

'Mr. Justice? Do you have contradicting proof that can overturn the prosecution's case? If you do, you'd better tell us about it now'

"This is it... and so soon! If I mess this one up, it's all over...!"

apollo tried to calm down his nerves, when your backed up into a corner, there's only one thing you can do, bluff

'The court wants to contradict proof?, Prosecutor Gavin, you claim that there were no witnesses to this crime. Are you absolutely sure?'

he asked, klavier grinned, intrigued on where this was going

'Absolutely. I'd swear it on my career as a prosecutor... And on my million-seller hit song "Atroquinine, My Love"'

trucy sighed

'...There he goes again'

'That's too bad, because there was a witness'

he said, all-though he wasn't completely sure, he made himself sound more confidant then he actually was

'Ho ho! Really now? But how did you come to possess knowledge the prosecution clearly does not?'

'Because I am the only one in the world who knows this'

he said, then started to explain to the court on what had happened, how he heard the witnesses finallast words, by the time he was done, the judge looked like he was seeing his lobster meal come to life right before his eyes

'Whaaat!? The victim said this before he died!?'

klavier face was a natural as before

'Perhaps he did... and perhaps he did not'
