Third Person POV -

On the beautiful land of Mexico, there belonged a coven of witches. The leader of this coven, was named Thalia. She was one of the most powerful beautiful witches ever to exist. She was beautiful, brave, and kind. And because of this, the Greek god Poseidon fell in love with her. The witches were skeptical about their leader having a romantic relationship with a god. They felt like they had to watch their every step even when the god wasn't there. Thalia seeing this, reassured them that they don't have to worry. She had already warned Poseidon to not mess with her coven. Soon everybody was at ease then. Thalia and Poseidon soon created a baby out of their love. Everybody was happy, except for one.

The witch Zara had always envied Thalia. She believed that Thalia didn't have what it takes to be a leader. She thought that she would make a better leader. She was after all more beautiful, powerful, and skillful than Thalia, as so she thought. So when all of sudden this god comes and claims that he is in love with the leader of the coven, she became so angry. She hoped that with some time the god would fall in love with her and that everybody would want her has their leader. This never came true though. When she heard the news that Thalia and Poseidon were going to be expecting a baby, she knew that this was her chance.

6 1/2 months into the pregnancy, Thalia had a vision. She saw Zara killing her and her baby and her takeover over the coven. She couldn't let that happen, so she started to come up with many alternatives, but each one ended up with her dead. She knew she couldn't change her fate, but she could change her baby's and her people's fate. Thalia soon got in contact with the witch Esther and she told her her plan. At first, Esther wasn't convinced, but she soon decided to help Thalia. They performed a spell in which Thalia's baby would be transferred into Esther. Before they performed the spell, they had made a story for their loved ones to believe. Esther would tell her family the news that she found out she is pregnant and that she is almost at her 7th month. ( NOTE: I know this is very unrealistic, which technically everything is. But please just go on with it. I know that the belly should have been at least a little visible). Once the spell was done, Thalia left.

On the last day of the 6th month, Poseidon took Thalia to a safe place near a river. Now Poseidon knew about Thalia's vision, but he didn't know about what she did. Thalia knew that that day was the day she was going to die. When Poseidon left to make a a bouquet out of the wild flowers, Thalia was sleeping. Thalia woke up after 10 minutes and she felt a presence. She immediately got up and she barely had time to counter step the spell that came at her. "Why are you doing this" said Thalia. Zara ignored her and kept fighting back. Thalia was able to get out, but she was still weak from the spell that she performed with Esther. "Fight back my Lady! Aren't you the powerful witch Thalia!!" yelled Zara with a sneer. "Please Zara, you don't have to do this. You don't need to kill" said Thalia. "I always knew you were never fit to be a leader. Have a beautiful eternal sleep Thalia", and with that, Zara lunged one final spell at Thalia.

When Poseidon came back, he saw the little house was destroyed. The flowers dropped from his hand and he immediately went to find Thalia. "Thalia, Thalia!!!", he shouted. He finally saw her. She was laying right next to the river. Water nymphs were attending her. They looked at him and shook their heads. She was gone. Poseidon was devastated. He couldn't believe that he couldn't save her. "The baby, what about the baby" Poseidon asked. "The baby is safe sir. Miss Thalia, left you this letter". Poseidon took the letter and told the nymphs to gather some satyrs.

Later that day, Thalia was buried. Everybody was devastated. They couldn't believe that their darling leader was dead.

Poseidon left his blessing and soon left. He couldn't take it. He took out the letter that the water nymph handed him. He read it...

Dear Poseidon,

When you read this, I am most likely already dead. I am so sorry for leaving you and our daughter this way. There wasn't anything I could do. No spell, no alternative, no place. Everything was already set. I wouldn't be able to save myself. But, I didn't care. All I wanted was for my baby and my people to be safe. In this letter, is the location of our daughters whereabouts. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about my decision, but I couldn't leave anything up to chance. I hope you and my daughter forgive me. I love you guys so much. Please be happy and look over her, my darling Katalina . I love you and I'm sorry.

Love,

Thalia
