Vampires

Katalina's POV -

I ran up to them, but before I got any close, my mother stopped me. I was confused. "Mom let me go, I want to hug them" I said. "Not yet Katalina, there's something you should know first" my mom told me. I looked at my siblings and I noticed they weren't looking at me, but at the blood filled rags. I looked at my mother, then at my siblings, then at the rags again, and finally back to my mother. "Mom what's going on?" I asked with a hint of fear in my voice. Why am I scared? I'm never scared. "I'll explain everything Katalina" my mom said. I looked towards my siblings again, but they weren't there anymore.

I sat frozen once my mom finished talking. I was trying to process everything that she just said right now. "So those bloody rags I found, are theirs aren't they" I said. She nodded. How can my siblings and father be vampires?? "I know it's a lot to take in Katalina, but I assure you that they won't hurt you" my mom said. "No one can hurt me mother" I said while making eye contact with her. "I know that darling" she said while placing a hand on my leg. "May I go to bed now?" I asked. "Of course darling" my mother said giving me a light smile. "And don't worry your father is fine now. Angry, but fine" she said. I then tucked myself to sleep.

The next day when I woke up, I was met with a certain pair of eyes looking at me. Klaus. I got up then. "Your scared" he said. I didn't reply. It was as if my body wasn't the only thing that froze, but also my voice. He then got up. "Don't leave" I finally got out. He turned. "Are you not scared?" he asked me while looking at me. I shook my head. "I do not fear you. Your my brother, Klaus" I said. He then came closer. "But I'm a vampire. A vampire that can hurt you" he said. "You won't hurt me. You might be a vampire, but your also my brother. My dear older brother whom I love so much" I said while touching his cheek. He flinched. I quickly retracted my hand, but he then caught it with his hand, holding it then. "Don't worry, it's fine. It's just that I'm still getting used to this" he said. "I understand" I replied. "Do you wanna go see the rest" he asked me. "Yes" I immediately replied. He smiled. "Ok, wash up first then. I'll get them all here."

Once I finished, I went to go see the rest of my siblings. I hugged them all and I was so happy to see them again. "We'll protect you always Katalina" Kol said. "Me too" I replied back.

I'm sorry, but a lot of the chapters will be different length depending on what I have right now. I always strive to make them long, but some of them just fit like this sometimes. I'm also trying to hurry because I want to get to the Demetri parts now for you guys. Please bear with me :) thank you ♡
