Katalina's POV -

It has been 6 months since Luke's death and it has been also 2 months since Nico and I began our relationship. I didn't want to go right away into one so we really just dated for about 2 months and we finally made it official then. These past few months I have been the happiest I've ever been since Luke's death. Of course, I still miss him so much, but with Nico around its been easier.

But my brother's think otherwise, except Percy.

"Klaus, I already told you. I'm fine. I'm happy. You don't have to worry anymore" I said with annoyance. "Katalina I know your saying that, but I know you better than anyone. I'm pretty sure you're still going there to se-" he began. "STOP!! You don't know anything of what I have been doing" I said immediately. "Katalina, I call you everyday and you tell me everything. And I know when you're telling the truth or not" he said. No, he can't possibly know that I'm... "Why are you here in the first place brother?" I said. "I came to tell you that you will be going on a short trip to Italy" he said with a smirk. Uhmm WHAT??!! "Excuse me?" I said. "You need some time away from here. Now you don't want to go back home to New Orleans, so I'm sending you off to Italy" he said while looking at me dead in the eyes. "I'm sorry brother, but who do you think you are to just send me to a whole other country?" I asked while crossing my arms. "Ohh Kai, I am your devilishly handsome, caring, older brother who loves you so much and always wants what's best for you" he said smiling. "Well what's best for me is to stay here. With my boyfriend. At home" I said tilting my chin up. "Then why don't you take your boyfriend with you to New Orleans. Your HOME" he said, emphasizing the word home. I rolled my eyes, "I won't because then you won't leave him alone". "What do you mean? Well either way, your plane leaves tomorrow at 6 am sharp" he said while turning away. "I won't be going" I told him. "Katalina, I have some work you have to do there with a friend either way. Don't worry it'll only take about....2 months. You'll decide if you want to stay longer or not" he said. My eyes widened, "2 months! No Klaus" I shook my head. He stared me down, "Katalina". I sighed, "As soon as I finish your little business, I'll be leaving. But you owe me a favor" I said. "Anything you want princess" he said with a playful smirk. "Good" I said as I returned the playful smirk with an eyebrow raised too.

As I was packing, Nico started whining. "But just whyyyy do you have to gooo. Can't you just stay?" he asked with a pout. I chuckled at his cuteness, "Sorry darling, but Klaus say's it won't take long, even though it's 2 months. That man, does he not know how to tell time anymore??". I paused and looked at Nico who was staring at me. "Hey why don't you come with me? If you'd like too I mean" I said. "I wish I could join you, but I already agreed with Chiron to help Percy and Annabeth in training the new campers" he sighed. My smile faltered. I didn't want to leave Nico here, but I knew that he had to go on with his words. "It's fine darling. I'll just try to finish really fast and immediately catch the next plane to Long Island" I said while rubbing my hands up and down his shoulders. He leaned into my touch, nuzzling his right cheek into the palm of my hand. "Promise?" he said while holding up his right pinky. I smiled, "Promise, my love". I then pecked him on the lips and we went to sleep.

The Next Day

I was at the top of the hill with my luggage in hand, while my other hand was currently being occupied by none other than Nico's hand. I smiled at Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Chiron. "Don't worry guys. I won't be away for long" I said. "Just please stay safe Katalina" Chiron said with a warm smile. "You know I always do" I said with a playful tone. We all laughed then. I hugged Annabeth. "You have your dagger right?" she questioned. I pulled it out, "Of course". "Ohh dear sister, come back soon please. I love you" Percy said while pulling me into a hug. "Oh what would you do without me Seaweed Brain" I said laughing. He scoffed, "Actually a lot of stuff". I nodded and I turned to Nico. "I'll be waiting for you darling" he said warmly. "I'll be here after the moon defeats the sun" I said while looking into his beautiful dark eyes. He smiled.

I landed after 10 hours stuck in this private jet. I wanted to get everything over with as soon as possible. Strangely, my private jet landed in a small town named Voltera. I was surprised that Klaus was doing some sort of business with someone here in this little town. I shrugged it off and got into my awaiting car.

When I left camp for my brother's mission, it was around December and now it was the end of March. "2 months huh" I scoffed. I just really wanted to leave.

I had just finished talking with Klaus's friend and making arrangements for the secret deal. I decided to walk to my rented room today and see more of the streets. As I walked, I felt a strange feeling come over me. I looked back, but there were just the usual market sellers and children playing around. I kept walking, but I still felt strange. As if somebody was following me. I was getting irritated. I rounded a corner on purpose and I stood tall and confident. "Look, whoever or whatever you are. Please just come on out or LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!!" I said raising my voice at the end. I heard a swish in the back of me and I turned fast. Then another and another. Seriously, circling me?? I took out my dagger and I looked everywhere sharply. "Look, I won't hesitate to stab my beautiful work of art on you. SO PLEASE run around in CIRCLES all you WANT!!" I said. Then I felt like a literal wall just slapme full on whole body. I mean, I've felt worse, but dang, a human body is weak. "Yo, you really had to do that didn't you" I sneered. I looked up at the person who pinned me on the floor. My eyes widened. The person's eyes weren't just any color. They were red? The young man looked at me with pure curiosity, but also hunger? I tried stabbing my dagger onto his abdomen, but he grabbed my wrists hard. "Arrgh", I tried getting out of his grip, but like what the heck he was strong! "Look you really don't want to mess with me ma-" I was cut off as he neared my face. "Woah, woah, woah, woah. Stop right there young man" I said. He smirked and then said in the most hottest Italian voice, ....

OK, so FINALLY we are introduced to the second main character, DEMETRI VOLTURI !!! OMG, I'm sorry I took so long in getting here. But everything that was written was necessary. Also, I don't know Italian, so please feel free to correct me, if you are Italian and know how to speak the language. You can't always rely on Google Translate. Kindly please :)
