Katalina's POV -

After that day, I knew I was so fricking stupid. How could I have been so clueless!! I'm the daughter of Poseidon and Thalia for Zeus's sake! I always called myself strong and intelligent, but am I really? Today my brother had rounded all of us up for a discussion. After I had told him what happened that night, he had disappeared for almost the whole day. I can't say I don't know what he went to go do, because I kinda do, but right now I'm just trying to convince myself that he really just went on a long run. I mean what could I have done. We are both the same. I know how he thinks and he knows how I think. We don't listen to anybody else besides ourselves.

"Thank you all for being on time" Klaus said. "I have brought us all together because there is an important matter to be discussed" he continued. I was confused. What sort of "important matter" was there? I looked at Elijah to see if he knew anything. He simply just changed his posture and nodded his head. "As you all know, our dear Katalina's 18th birthday will be in a few days" he said looking at me. "We were already planning on moving somewhere else, so why not let Katalina choose where we will be staying next as an early birthday present" he said whilst smiling at me. I widened my eyes. I would be picking where to stay next. My siblings were usually the ones who would decide where to stay since they were older. I looked at my brother shocked. "Have you lost your mind?!" I asked him with wide eyes. He simply laughed, "Sister, you will be of age soon. Which means not only will you be a young lady, but you will also be turning". I froze for a moment. I forgot how many years have passed already. I always knew this day would be come, but it has came so soon. Rebekah stepped towards me. "Everything will be fine Katalina. You are powerful enough" she said with so much assurance while holding my arms. "I don't know about that" I said. "Katalina, your mother's were Thalia and Esther Mikaelson, you are more than powerful enough" she said. I looked at Elijah and Klaus, they smiled at me and I smiled back.

We didn't really pack a lot. I mean there wasn't much to take. We would always take things from others in order to blend in. As we finished off, I was deep in thought about what my brother said. I would be turning soon. Wow. I've always wondered about how it felt to be a vampire. Being so fast and strong. How does it feel running through the woods? Do you feel free? I still remember my last conversation with Henrik about what I so desired. Being able to see the moon and being free. The first time I saw the moon, I was frozen in place by its beauty. How I wish Henrik was here. I was so lost in thought, that I didn't even notice that Klaus came in. "What has captured your mind besides me, sister" Klaus said taking a seat. "The moon looks beautiful tonight" I said while looking up at the sky. "Indeed it is" he replied. For a moment, I almost considered telling Klaus about Henrik's and I's conversation. I immediately held myself back. "Having second thoughts" he chuckled. "No, not at all. It's just that this is a very important decision for me. I mean, it will be our new home and I don't want to disappoint myself" I said, "and you" I also thought. "You shouldn't stress. I know you will make the right decision" he said while standing up and turning towards the door. Before he could take another step, I spoke. "Brother, what did you do to Zeke?" I asked. He turned around to face me. "I just gave him what he deserved" he smirked.

I closed the door and followed my siblings. Without turning back I said, "For the best to come".
