Acts of Rage

Katalina's POV -

We went on with our usual lives, but there were some complications. My siblings couldn't go out or the sun would hurt them, but thank goodness that my mom was able to find a loophole. She created a piece of jewelry for each one of them to wear so the sun wouldn't hurt them. I was learning everything and every spell that my mom cast. We also had to be careful to not be near vervain. We burnt down the white oak tree, which my mom used to create my siblings. And on top of all that, everybody in the village feared us. I lost all my friends and I wasn't allowed to go outside anymore in fear that the people would try to hurt me. As long as I was with my siblings though, I was perfect.

A few days later -

Rebekah and I went to pick some flowers and as we walked back she all of a sudden froze. "What is it," I asked concerned. "Its Niklaus" she said. We hurried back home and we found a devastating scene in front of us. My mom was dead. "Oh my god, Klaus what happened!" Rebekah said crying. "I don't know, I don't know. All I know is that father must have done this" he said with sadness. "He became raged once he knew of my mom's infidelity, he must've killed her then" Klaus said with anger. "No father, he, he couldn't have done this. He loved mom" I cried. "He killed her Katalina" Klaus said standing up. "What are we going to do?!" Rebekah sobbed. "We'll bury her and then we'll leave" Elijah said. "What, we can't just leave" Rebekah said. "Then what do you suggest sister. Kol and Finn have already run off. There is nothing left for us here" Elijah said. I couldn't speak. I was in shock. First Henrik, now mom. "What about Kai? She's still so young." Rebekah said. "Kai will be coming with us. From now on it's just us four. It will be Kol and Finn's choice whether they want to join us or not" Elijah said. I looked at Klaus. He then held my hand and squeezed it.

After we buried mom, we packed some clothes and my mom's grimoire. I felt some tears slip at the thought of leaving home. "Everything will be alright Katalina, don't worry. We'll protect you. Soon you'll be like us" Klaus said. I hugged him tight. "Promise" he replied.

We all stood outside and held each other's hands. "We'll stick together" Elijah began. "We'll protect each other" Rebekah continued. "Always" Klaus said. "..and forever" I finished. We then turned and began our path to our new life.
