With El's birrhday approaching, the marauders plus Marlene were spending their time planning something that was no doubt something the head girl and boy should not be allowing to happen. One specific evening when they'd all disappeared to god knows where, El was returning back to her common room, alone for once, only when she turned to corner, she saw a head of blonde hair standing outside the tapestry, wearing Slytherin robes.

"Rosier, what do you want?" El said, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she approached the boy.

Evan nervously looked up, his eyes panicked, breathing heavily. "El, i need to tell you something," he whispered, checking up and down the corridor to see if someone was listening. "Can we go in?" he nodded to the tapestry, receiving a hesitant nod in reply.

Once inside the common room, Evan began to pace in front of the fire, his hands running through his hair. He began muttering to himself, loosening his tie as if it was restricting his breathing.

"Are you gonna tell me or not?" El said after getting fed up of watching the boy pace for several minutes.

"I-" he took a deep breath, "The attacks—the Death Eater attacks, there's gonna be another one, n-next Saturday, when everyone goes to Hogsmeade."

El blinked, taking a while to process what she had just been told. "Wh-. . . how'd you know? I thought you weren't a Death Eater yet."

"I'm not," Evan stopped his pacing and pulled his sleeve up to show her his unmarked forearm before he sat down, placing his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands. "But i might be soon. I don't want to—Morgan would kill me, that's why i'm telling you this. I want out, before it's too late."

"Why aren't you telling this to Dumbledore?"

"Because he won't believe me, not unless you come with me. I know you're part of the order, so is Morgan, i haven't told anyone, i-i swear," Evan's hands began to shake as he ran them through his hair again. "I'd be killed if they knew i was telling you this."

There was a noise by the entrance as James came through the tapestry. "What the fuck is he doing here?!" James clenched his fists as he spoke, his eyes trained on Evan.

"There's gonna be an attack, in Hogsmeade, next week," El answered, standing up and walking towards him.

"He told you this?" James' eyebrows furrowed in anger, his jaw tightening as he gestured in Evan's direction. "And you believe him?!"

"Yes!"

James' gaze softened when he looked down at the girl who was now standing in front of him.

"Look, Potter, i'm not trying to shag your girlfriend. . .anymore. I'm telling the truth," Evan said.

"I'm not his girlfriend," El muttered.

"I don't care."

James' jaw clenched again, "Watch your tone with her, mate. She's the only one that believes you."

"Both of you just shut up," El snapped. "We need to go speak to Dumbledore."

They walked to Dumbledore's office in silence, both boys walking either side of El to prevent them from arguing.

"Professor?" El pushed the headmaster's door open with out knocking and marched inside to where he was sitting peacefully at his desk.

"Ahh, Miss Burke, do take a seat," Dumbledore waved a hand at the chair opposite him. "Mr Potter, Mr Rosier," he nodded at each boy in turn. "How may i help you three?"

"Death Eaters are coming to Hogsmeade this weekend—there's gonna be an attack, on students," El explained, standing in front of the desk, with both hands planted firmly on it.
