Xiaojun stood outside the school building. a few steps away from the stairs. he wore the dark blue suit, Sicheng gave him before he left. he couldnt bring himself to face y/n after what he had done last time. but the thoughts of being alone brought him to that place.

despite the hesitation and distress, he walked into the hall. after a long time of lurking around, he caught sight of Sicheng standing in the corner. as usual, no expression and staring nowhere.

"where are the others?" he asked while approaching him. The other looked surprised with his presence but he didnt want to make XJ regret his decision. "enjoying.

speak of the devil." Xj followed his stare.

Hendery was just walking toward them with a female student beside him. most likely to be his dancing partner. he bade farewell to her with a warm smile and they seperated.
"You finally came! I thought i wont be able to see you again!" XJ ignored hendery with an eye roll.

With something just appearing in his mind, he quickly asked Sicheng, "where is she?"
SC gave him the idk expression and they moved on into another topic.

Onda looked irritated while calling someone in her phone. she repeated the same actions few times before giving up and taking a deep breath. Lucas noticed the case and worriedly asked her, "whom are you calling?"

Onda replied with a groan, "y/n! she's not picking up the phone!! gosh, im about to go crazy...where am i supposed to look for her in this crowd." Lucas's looked slightly relieved after hearing that the reason wasnt great as he thought.

"Im sure you'll find her. Should I drop you off after the party ends?" she gave it a quick thought then replied, "No thanks, I'll just go with my friends." saying that, they exchanged few words and parted.

Onda caught up with the other three. when she approached them, she met with Hendery's angry state of mind. He was staring at Lucas and Onda since the beginning. it was most likely what got his mood ruined.

Hendery couldnt help but feel a strong burn inside him. The whole time he played in the basketball team, he has always noticed how much of a playboy Lucas was. He could tell that their leader was never serious with any girl.

He was afraid that Lucas might do the same with her. He'll hurt her.
"Not now Hendery." he was brought back to reality with Sicheng's warning, "We shouldnt tell her anything yet." the other simply nodded and tried to calm himself down.

They stood there for a while, discussing how the night went for each of them. XJ was only silent. He began to feel like an outcast and walked away from the group.

With nowhere to go, he walked around the familliar rooms, stairs and halls.

Something soon caughts his attention. He looked out from the window to see a couple dancing in the backyard.

It didnt take him long to realise who they were. his fist tightens in anger.

y/n went back to her group of friends once the party ended. They all looked irritated with her late presence. Onda began to yell at her for talking too long. between all of that, y/n was only lost in thoughts. she was taken over with confusing expressions. she paid no attention to others and stayed quite the whole time.

Sicheng was quick enough to notice it while Xiaojun already knew what happened. But he said nothing the whole way back home. He was only mad about the fact that Ten is the reason of her being upset.

next day at school , y/n closed her locker and leaned against it. she let out a long sigh while staring at the ceiling. she couldnt take her mind off of what happened the night before. Was it a mistake?

Every second she spent with Ten was deeply imprinted in her mind. Every bit of it felt so magical that she wanted to feel it all over again. On the other side, as much as she liked it , she regretted it. since the beginning, she let herself feel something for someone who was already taken. Taken by someone, she can never overmatch.

Her mind was brought back when the school bell rang. Few minutes left before the class starts.

She thought to herself, In these few minutes, if she manages to get even a brief sight of him,

would the heartache she was feeling get less...?

will she finally be able take her mind off him...?

While making sure none of her classmates were watching, y/n left the place. heading to the senior's floor. She knew, it wasnt the right thing to do but, at that very moment, she couldnt think of anything better than just looking for him.

15 minutes, Ten counted. not sure if its gonna be the last time he's taking note of the time. Grace pulled him to the halls and made him hear her annoying excuses and questions for the last fifteen minutes. His legs were starting to lose strength of standing still. This fifteen minutes felt like hours for him.

He couldnt take it anymore. He wanted to leave her in that place and walk away. But that would cause only more trouble. Her words and questions began a continuous pain in the head. But he refused to answer the childlike questions of her.

"How could you just leave me there?!? I had to dance with a total stranger. Can you imagine how uneasy I felt?!? Where did you even go at that time?!?"

"I told you. I had to leave because of an emergency at my home. It had to be taken care of. I didnt have the time to contact, okay?"

"What kind of emergency?!? Was that problem more important that me?!?" Ten backed away once again. There were absolutely no way he could shut her up. again, she kept repeating the same questions.

With no way out, he decided to use her weakness. He closed into her and stopped her talking with a deep kiss. He left it like that while noticing how Grace was slowly ready to give up on the past.

When they parted, Grace couldnt speak out a single word. She looked surprised and happy at the same time. Ten could tell he has won her heart.
"Babe, I wont do it again, okay? Now, Im leaving for my class." Grace only nodded and walked off the other way.

Ten felt bad with playing with her feelings. But he felt helpless. There were no way he could take his mind off what happened the night before.

A strong guilt was built up inside him. He thought to himself that he shouldnt have taken that step with
y/n. Not caring about how she felt for him, he scared her away.

Ten and Grace kissing had to be the exact moment when y/n arrived. She saw them making out like there was no tomorrow. When they parted, she quickly hides herself behind a wall, covering her mouth in shock.
