Through the walk, y/n felt clueless where winwin was taking her. she kept following him ever since he said, "come with me." Soon they reached the front of the teacher's room. she froze there. she was expelled an hour ago. the teacher wouldnt want to see her again.

He entered the room and kept the door open for her. at this point she had no choice left but to face it. they caught their teacher's attention as soon as they walked in. he stared confusely at y/n "Miss Lee, I thought I told you that you're expelled. How can you still be here without Permission."

the other spoke before her, "she was with me this morning. there's no way she's responsible for ezra's state."

"And what proof do you have?"

"you didnt ask proof from ezra but from us? we can prove it to you if you check the cameras. " his last words were a trigger to the other. since they trusted the higher-up students so much, they didnt even bother to check if she was telling the truth or not. he checked the cameras and It was proved that y/n and ezra were never at the same place since morning.

The room went silent when their guilty self kicked in. "shd lied about her state and false blamed an innocent. will you not expelle her?"

"Since the false accusation was harmless, we wont be punishing anyone." both were shocked to see them being this unjust. winwin tried to protest but y/n stopped him. he looked back to see her calm and relieved. she nodded with saying 'no more'. he got her sign and backed off. "Dong Sicheng.", the teacher sudden call freezed him. he didnt bother to look back.

"sit down, we need to talk. you were absent for more days than you requested." y/n knew it wasnt her concern and left.

fifteen minutes passed but there was still no sign of anyone walking out of the room. she kept waiting since she had a lot left to say to him. Just then, the door opened and winwin came into her view. he was also quick enough to notice her presence. "you haven't left yet?" he asked while passing her.

"I wanted to give it back." she handed out a handkerchief for him to take. he looked at it to realise it was his own. "Keep it, you'll need it later if you let them keep troubling you."

"Why did you help me?" he stopped and slowly turned to stare at her "because...I've seen a lot like you. where the innocents were forced to feel guilty over something they never did."

"but you lied. . .you lied about being together." winwin didnt answer any more of her questions and turned ahead. he sighs and whispers to himself, "I didnt."
