Chapter 9

Last night after I got home, I called Maze to have everything ready for me when I arrive back in Spain. I just landed after a long flight and I'm exhausted, but I just don't have time. On the plane, I did some mafia and school work. I am taking a few online courses, even though I will most likely never go to school or have a normal job. I always want to know everything and be good at everything so I don't have to depend on anyone. It's just the way my life works.

I had flowers sent over to the Kings because I stayed for dinner on such short notice and they weren't the worst people in the world. I on the other hand probably didn't make the best impressions, but who gives a fuck.

I leaned my head against the cold glass window of the car waiting to arrive at my home.

I get out of my car, grabbing my bag with me. I thank my driver and make my way into my apartment building. I could afford buildings ten times this size, but that would cause too much attention. I have a lot of houses around the country, but I saw John's face light up when he saw this place and that's all it took.

It makes us feel a little normal living here.

John and I live at the top of our building in a four-bedroom, with a kitchen, living room, and balcony. The balcony is probably my favourite part of the place, I can't even describe how breathtaking the view looks at night.
