Ch24 - Business

First grade assessment training, your recent relationship with Satoru, teaching and cursed spirits that would plague innocent people was all your life had recently become.

Your day off wasn't even a day off anymore. Yaga assigned you to run his errands given by Gakuganji for him to fulfill, somehow became your duty.

Task was rather easy, visit first grade sorcerers and request for them to supervise the sorcerers that are to be assessed as special grade.

First on the list was Nanami, he was quite easy to convince given your constant teasings, and if saying yes is all he had to do for you to stop, so be it.

Next on the list would be Kusakabe Atsuya, a deceitful fool who looks fearful but is nothing but a whimsy idiot, convincing him was rather easy as well, your charms did quite well. So well he must've gotten a bit too hooked.

The next would be, the most money infatuated woman you could ever lay eyes on, Mei Mei.
Knowing her and her morals you were prepared. She's not one that's easy to impress, you had faith in the students, but you couldn't help but wonder if what you had planned would water down her standards.

You were staring at your phone seeing the text messages Satoru sent you. "Did you get what you need for Mei Mei?"

"Yeah just waiting for her to get here." You responded to his text, and looked around for a certain silver haired woman.

"Knock her over, baby." Satoru's text message notification brought your attention back to your phone, he also used a ton of emojis on the message which made you laugh to yourself silently when you saw them.

"Playing errand girl, (L/N)?" A feminine voice made you turn your head to her, a rather teasing smile on her face was there as she eyed you up and down. She was dressed casually and her silver hair that was slightly tinted in blue wasn't covering half of her face. She knew she was gorgeous and a sight to behold.

"You should know best, Mei Mei. After all I like to get the job done fast." You responded her teases. "Now, let's go somewhere and have coffee. We got quite a lot to discuss."

Mei Mei let out a hum as an answer and you two walked off.

"Can I borrow that dress?" She asked you, you two went to a café nearby. She was quite a determined woman and her beliefs were quite different from an average humans. Some would say greedy and some would say
money-hungry...

"Things you borrow don't usually come back," You asserted to her. You were wearing the retro off shoulder french dress you bought the other day with Nobara. "and we're not here to discuss fashion, I have a favor to ask."

Mei Mei laughed which honestly was rather calm, it would've sent shivers down your spine, but you were used to her and her ways so it wasn't much a surprise for you.

"Favors come with a price, never free and always with charge and payment." She said with her fist on her cheek whilst she leaned on the table, "What kind of favor?"

You breathed in when you heard her say that, "First grade assessment for the Tokyo students will be held on the 31st October, I know for a fact that you and Todo Aoi recommended all the students. If it was you alone that recommended them then we wouldn't be here, given Todo was there as well my intuition tells me you somehow split the students. Which means you can assess one or two of them." You explained in a determined tone and crossed your legs from under the table, Mei Mei leaned back with a smirk shot at you.
