(This chapter is based off of another filler episode. I included it since it really defined Tien's character quite well in my opinion. It also will serve as a stepping stone in Y/N's eventual redemption.)
Y/N POV
You know, when I agreed to help Roshi, Tien and Chiaotzu locate these 'Dragon Balls' I had assumed it would be a simple task, especially given the Dragon Radar technology. Anyway, it proved to be anything BUT that.
And that's how we ended up on this moving ship, surrounding by armed mercenaries, all of which had their guns aimed directly at us. Their leader, a bear with a scar over one of his eyes sat directly in front of us chuckling while tossing the Dragon Ball up and down.

Roshi asked "Are you sure you won't change your mind?" The bandit leader responded "What do you think? I was the first to find this, it's mine." Tien then said "You don't need that ball, do you?" The bandit then said "It's simply a shiny trinket, pleasing to the eye. But I can tell from your reaction it holds a great value."
Next Roshi asked "What is it that you want? Money?" The bandit nodded and said "How about a million Zeni?" My eyes widened, if I remember rightly, even the prize money from the Tournament wouldn't cover that! Roshi exclaimed "A million?!"
Tien added "You can't be serious." The bandit replied "You heard me. Take it or leave it!" Roshi said "You drive a hard bargain." He pulled out a wallet and began fumbling around inside it. He then approached the bandit leader and said "Tell you what. I'll give you this."
He held something out and the bandit leader just asked "And what is that?" Roshi explained "A lottery ticket and a beer coupon. Take it, treat yourself." I smirked Roshi was proving to be more funny than I had first thought.
The bandit leader was enraged and yelled "FORGET IT!" Roshi just said "Okay." The ship came to a stop and several men came out and re aimed their guns at us. The bandit said "Boys, negotiations are over. Too bad I don't have a plank."
Roshi began rolling his sleeves up. "I didn't want this to get out of hand but you leave me no choice. I need that ball." I suddenly yelled "Chiaotzu!" as the bandit yelled "FIRE!" With that all of the pirates on the ship opened fire on us.
Not that it did anything though because Chiaotzu used his telekinetic powers to stop the bullets in mid-air. They floated around us slowly as all the pirates looked at us shocked and scared.
