Everything happens for a reason

It was about 5:30 when I woke up, the smell of coffee making its way into my nose, and when I did open my eyes, I saw Taehyung on my lap, and I was sitting on the sofa.

He looked really cute, and when I say really cute, I mean it.

Slowly lifting his head up and replacing my lap with a pillow, I walked over to the kitchen to see Jin making some coffee.

"Good morning Jin." I said, yawning.

"Hey Y/n. I guess you're the early riser at your house?" he asked, patting my head and looking back at the coffee.

"Well, there's no one at my house, but you can say that." I told him, cracking a half-awake smile.

"Living alone eh? How did your parents take the news of you moving out?" he asked, looking at me.

I didn't know how to break it to him.

I'm an orphan.

So screw the experience of having parents.

"Jin... I'm an orphan." I told him, tears building up in my eyes as I looked away.

"God Y/n I'm so sorry. I've been asking you questions like this since yesterday. I didn't know you were going through a hard time." he said, and the next thing I know, I'm being whisked into one of his tight, warm and brotherly hugs that I needed.

"It's okay, you didn't know." I said, my voice muffled.

"I'll drop you off?" he asked, wiping my cheeks.

"Sure, I have to be home by 6 anyways, I've to go to work." I told him, taking the coffee he gave me.

"Oh, that's nice, have your coffee soon, I'll change and we'll leave." he told me, before moving into his room to change.

He gives me a very homely feel, that I've never felt before. I guess I didn't make a mistake when I responded to Tae's messages.

Oh wait. I forgot about him.

Walking over to the living room, I saw him sitting up, looking into a corner of the living room, clearly in a trance.

"Hey Taehyungie." I said, patting his shoulder.

He didn't respond, and instead, he stood up and went to his room.

Was he ignoring me?

I followed him, and stood outside the door as I saw him walk inside and sit on his bed.

He looked up, and when he saw me, he slammed the door shut.

Right in my face.

Great.

The guy I love has officially shut me out for a reason even I don't know.

I saw Jin walking out, and walked along with him, not wanting to pester Taehyung on whatever was bothering him.

"So, when's your concert?" I asked Jin, as we drove to my house.

"Well, it's in about one week, and we're all practicing like there's no tomorrow." he added with a chuckle.

"Oh haha, Taehyung has been pretty busy." I said, remembering all those days when he forgot to message me because of practice and how he used to apologize a hundred times.

"He has a thing for you, Taehyung, and he's been blabbering about you all this while. He really like you Y/n, I can see it in his eyes." He said, slightly smiling at the thought of his brother's blabbering.

"Well, he slammed the door shut in my face and ignored my today, I don't know why he's suddenly like that." I told him.

"Oh that's something I need you to figure out. I've already figured it out." he told me, sniggering at my confused face.

"I like him too, I just don't wanna come in the way of his career." I told him.

"Don't worry, everything happens for a reason." he told me, as we came to a stop in front of my house.

"Be safe Y/n. You can come over any time to play with your brothers!" he said, ruffling my hair with a wink.

"Thanks Jin, I mean it." I said, offering him a smile, before I walked into my apartment, waving at him.

Everything happens for a reason.
