Once we get back home my father and Uncle Shawn go out to dinner while Chase and I stayed home.

"What movie do you want to watch"? Chase asks, scrolling through Netflix.

"I don't know maybe-".

"Ooh the notebook"! Chase shouts, I give him a weird look.

"what? It's my favorite movie". he laughs.

"I just never thought a guy like you would like the notebook". I laugh lightly as he rolls his eyes.

"There you go judging me again". he jokes.

It stays quiet for a second until he breaks it.

"Since you like to judge people why don't you tell me more about yourself". Chase smirks, leaning back on the couch.

"What is there to tell, I'm boring". I shrug.

"c'mon, there's got to be something".

"Um, I love to write". I say.

"That's not really interesting, but I'll work with it".

"What type of books do you like to write"? He asks.

"Romance mainly".

"Why"?

"I don't know, I just love romance. The fact that you could find your soulmate and love happily ever after is so adorable".

"Do you want a happily ever after"?

"Yes".

"Have you found your soulmate. Or did you ever love someone"?

"Um, no to both. I've never had a boyfriend. I'm very pure". I laugh lightly.

Chase gets quiet, leaving and goes upstairs.

~Chase~

I like Bella. I really do. It's just I don't want to hurt her. I'm not going to do it on purpose, but still. My heart has been through loss, break ups, everything under the sun. I don't think I'm emotionally ready for a relationship. I couldn't be Bella's happily ever after and that's what sucked. I really wanted to be the soulmate to make her happy, but I couldn't bare to open my heart up again just for it to get broken. She's talked to Nessa, Jaden, and Avani. That means they've told her everything about me there is too know. Except one thing, which is only something that Nick and I know.

After I storm upstairs, I go to my bag to grab my phone.

I look for the caller ID and once I found it I smile.

"Hello".

"Hey mom".

"Hi sweetie, how are you".

"I'm fine mom, how's everything".

"You know, it's okay. It's hard without your father".  my mom says, sighing.

"I know mom, I'll see you later in the week though I promise".

"Alright sweetie, is Isabella still coming over"?

"Yes mom, please don't embarrass me please". I laugh.

"I won't sweetheart".

"Alright mom, I got to go, I'll call you tonight".

"Okay honey, I love you".

"I love you too mom".

I hang up the phone and lay on the bed. A few moments later there's a small knock.

"Come in"?

Isabella walks in moments later, hands behind her back.

"Hey, I just wanted to make sure you were okay". she says quietly.

"Yeah, sorry. I just- um was tired".

"Oh, this is a early Christmas gift, but I felt bad". she says softly, handing me a small blue bear with a butter fly on the stomach.

"Bella...this is adorable. What do you feel bad for"?

"I don't know. You stormed off so I thought I did something".

I pat the bed and she sits down next to me.

"It's not you Bella trust me". I sigh.

"What do you mean"?

"I shouldn't be trusted with your heart. I don't want to break it".

"You won't break it".

"Yes I will. I don't wanna hurt you".

"You won't. You don't even like me". she says shyly.

"Your right. I don't like you. I love you. I don't like to hurt the people I love".
