"I love you since this morning, not just for aesthetic. I wanna touch your body, so fucking electric."

. . .

During lunch, my eyes catch sight of the ring. And I get to examine it good.

It's a golden ring with a diamond on it. The ring itself is scattered with diamonds as well.

But that's Stella. Always catching the attention of everyone, so it doesn't come off as a surprise to see her engagement ring being the same way.

I've always viewed Stella as an angel. With her blonde hair that shines in the sun and her blue eyes that could capture anyone, she's always been so pretty to me. And everyone else.

She's six years older than me, and the reason why we've become so close is that we've always been neighbors.

We saw each other as sisters we've never had. While she does have a sibling – her brother – I don't.

It was only natural for us to become close and best of friends. Most of my childhood memories, I share with her.

And I wouldn't trade it for anything else. So, I'm happy for her.

It makes perfect sense for her to find someone like Nicholas. I can see them forming the perfect couple. A power couple.

One that is successful in everything they do and everyone envies.

"How was your flight, babe?" Stella asks as we've taken a seat at a table. And, of course, Nicholas joined us.

"Exhausting, I flew first-class and didn't have all the space I'm normally used to," he answers.

"Why didn't you use the private jet?"

"It was unavailable, there was something wrong with the engines," he replies, sighing.

He has barely spared me a glance. Only a nod in acknowledgment. But I'm used to it.

I'm used to people only seeing Stella. She always shines bright.

While I'm the moon. Only being seen because she shines on me.

"So, you've maybe seen that my house is under construction," Stella says. I nod. "Yeah, I was going to ask you about that," I say.

"She's getting it remodeled! Since Marie and Dan moved out and left it to her, Stella has been preparing the renewal and is renovating everything and adding more things!" mom exclaims excitedly.

"Really? I'm so excited to see the result," I grin. It's the house where I spent most of my childhood. Seeing it all different is going to be weird, and hard to get used to.

I've always been fond of everything that's old and holds a story.

"Same, though it's going to be a while for it to be finished. And Nicholas' house is almost done getting renewed, though it's going to be another three weeks before we can move into his place," she continues.

"Damn, everyone is getting shit done. We too, mami?" I ask and glance at my mom. She rolls her eyes and shakes her head.

"No, we're just staying the same. I'm quite content now," she chuckles. I return my eyes to Stella's azure ones.

"So, we asked your parents and they agreed with it. We're going to live with you for three weeks," Stella exclaims, getting excited about this.

My lips part in surprise, and I have to mask my shock and delay my reaction since the waiter has stopped by our table, asking for our orders.
