Snow.

The weather was cold. (oh my gosh, that was so cheesy.) February was still considered winter on it's own, but the next few days were predicted to have several feet of snow and strong winds to go with it. New York, everyone.
Since a snow in was inevitable, everyone was trying to prepare for what the weather news had suggested 'three days worth of supplies'. Some people were going a little over board though.

"Alexander, I don't think you understand what necessities are." Eliza sighed. Grocery shopping with a five year old was hard. Grocery shopping with Alexander was impossible. "Put those back."

Alexander clutched the dino nuggets in his hands. "Necessities. The plural of necessity. An indispensable thing or the fact of being required or indispensable. Translation, I need dino nuggets."

"Fine, but then you have to put back the mini corn dogs." Eliza stated.

"Why? It's not like we couldn't afford both." Alexander pouted.

"You underestimate the size of your parents freezer." Eliza laughed.

"I think... you're right." Alexander put back the dino nuggets. "Now I know you love the Washingtons, but you've never spent three whole days with them. Are you sure you don't want to stay at your father's house?"

"Why? Are you nervous about something?" Eliza questioned with a smirk. "Say... embarrassing stories of your mid teenage years?"

"Yes." Alexander stated blankly.

"Well, I think that sounds like fun to me." Eliza laughed.

"Does it? It scares me." Alexander admitted. "I'm smart, but I'm not bright. You may be surprised."

"Whatever went on in your past," She paused. "I will laugh at it all and remind you at the worst times..."

"No." Alexander threw his hands up. "That's it. I'm just gonna call..." Eliza put her finger up to his lips.

"I love you just the way you are." Eliza smiled. "And to prove it, for every embarrassing story I hear about you, I tell you one about me."

"Sounds fair." Alexander said. "But can you sweeten the deal?"

She grabbed his face and pressed his lips to hers. "And you get one of those." She grinned as they parted.

"Deal." Alexander smiled wide.

Peggy and Laurens were a little upset about not being able to see each other in person for three days.

"Are you sure you don't want to leave yet?" Peggy asked. "I know you're staying with your parents while the school is closed down, and the drive isn't that close to my house..."

"Are you saying you don't want me here?" Laurens joked.

"No! I mean yes, I want you here. But it's gonna start snowing tonight, and I wanted to make sure you didn't get stuck in it while running last minute errands." Peggy explained.

"Now when have you known me to be last minute?" Laurens laughed.

Peggy gave him 'the look'.

"Ok, so maybe I don't have great timing. But I'll make sure I'm back home before it starts snowing." Laurens said.

"Ok." Peggy smiled as she smooshed her lips to his.

"Your dad's not home, right?" Laurens pulled apart before going right back in.

"He is now." Philip walked into Peggy's bedroom.

"Hey Mr. Schuyler." Laurens put his head down, slightly embarrassed.

"Don't mind me, just wanted to ask Peggy if she needed anything from the store." Philip said.

"I'm good, actually." Peggy nodded.

"Ok. Keep it PG in here." Philip stated before leaving.

"I am 2-2 in awkward experiences with your father." Laurens bit his lip while laughing.

"2?"

"Your father probably thinks I think that ice cream and cheese puffs are an actual meal."

"He loves you." Peggy kissed him again. "And so do I."

"What time is it?" Laurens asked.

"Almost six. You really should get going." Peggy sighed.

"I'm gonna wait a few more minutes. Otherwise I have to run into your father on the way to my car." Laurens laughed.

"You are so dramatic." Peggy rolled her eyes while giggling.

"You know you love me." Laurens smirked.

"Whatever, you dork." Peggy gave him a kiss before he left.

Angelica and John had been stocking up on plenty of diapers.

"Let's see, what size do I need for a five week old?" John asked over the phone.

"I don't know, but I'm sure he hasn't outgrown a size 1 since the last time you went to the store. Which, need I remind you, was only three days ago." Angelica laughed.

"Ok. I'll be home in five." John replied before hanging up. He went to stand in line and saw Laf there with dog food. "Oh hey, man."

"Hey. Getting some stuff for Ricky?" Lafayette asked.

"Yeah. He's already gone through a whole box just the last few days." John said, gesturing to the diapers in his hands. "He's the greatest thing though. You and Adrianne plan on having kids?"

"Of course. Might use this snow in to get in a couple extra tries." Laf joked. "But for now, I am stuck buying food for me lady's dog."

"It's a start." John laughed.

"Sure, I got to get going though. It's supposed to start snowing soon and I need to get back before it's too crazy." Laf said.

"Me too, it was nice to catch up though. Tell me how the baby game works out." John smirked as he paid the cashier and left. Laf did the same.

Laurens was driving home when his car broke down. He pulled over onto the side of the road and popped the lid. He couldn't tell what the problem was, and knew that a mechanic would be closed due to the weather by now.

"You have got to be kidding me."
