THINGS HAVE BEEN PRETTY hectic, yet good lately. Mom and Dad have been slowly moving things to the compound and spending a lot of time with each other. And when I say a lot of time... I mean a lot. It's nice seeing them both back together and laughing. They saved each other without even knowing it.

Their love was something I admired. Because it was pure. The world could be ending and the only thing that would matter to dad would be Mom's safety. It would be to know that she was still alive and well.

But moving on from that... today was the biggest day of the year. Prom.

And why is it important to me you might ask? Only because prom is probably the only normal school event that our school has. Aside from annual football tournaments and all that other crap.

"Are you excited for tonight?" Jessica smirks.

I slightly chuckle. "Very."

"Do you know what you're going to wear?"

I shake my head.

Jessica's gasps. "Prom is in less than..." she looks at her watch. "7 hours. We need to find you a dress. Oh, my god, please let me pick you out a dress."

"I don't know about that—"

"Please!" Jessica begs. "I have this perfect dress you could wear. It'll look amazing on you. And not only that but I'm sure Kate will be drooling."

When it came to picking out outfits for big, crazy events like prom; Jessica was the one to go to if you needed help. And even if you didn't need help, she'd still find a way to get some type of say in what you wear. But i've gotta admit, Jessica is an amazing dresser. So I had no choice but to say...

"Fine, yes."

Jessica squeals loudly, clapping her hands. "Tonight is going to be great."

Holding back a laugh I shush Jessica since we had currently been sneaking out of school. Dad nor Mom showed up for work today. Probably because they were tired from working and moving the stuff from the old house to the compound. But that did give me and the group a chance to sneak out early and get clothes for later.
