Just for two seconds, no more than that. Just some momentarily lasting bliss, it's all I need right now—

"Mar," I snapped my eyes open, my head nodding off as I lifted it, looking at Dominic who sat besides me. "Go home, gets some sleep." He rested his hand on the top part of my back, soothingly rubbing it.

Ugh, that feels so good. My entire body is sore, I just wanna get a massage.

"No, I'm fine." I stuffed my face in my hands, trailing my hands over my eyes, my forehead until they were in my hair, pushing it away from my face as I dropped my hands back down onto my laps.

"If you consider not sleeping for two days is fine," Dominic raised a brow. "Then you need to read the definition of fine." He shook his head and he's right, I should sleep but I feel so shit.

I can't leave Grey like this here, he would do the same for me.

"I can see you debating this in your head," Dominic poked the side of my head. "It's nine o'clock, go home for the night, sleep it off and come back tomorrow morning." Dominic rubbed my back as I gave into his soothing touch, not wanting it to end.

"You should go too." I rested my hand on his thigh, near his knee, his eyes snapping to my hand quickly.

"I got here like an hour ago, I'll stay the night," This is not his responsibility. "Plus, I've got Cesar, Mason and Alissa here for company." He smirked and I sighed, rubbing his knee as I nodded.

"I'm tired." I muttered as I crashed back into his chest, his arms instantly wrapping around me from the back, his head rested against mine.

Oh, how I've missed this. Reminds me of the time back in New York — good old days.

"I know, love." He engulfed me into his warm body, I felt so comforted. "I know." He kissed my head and I could just fall asleep here, like this.

I hummed in response, nodding gently. "Alright," I sat up but his arms stayed around me. "I'll go."

"Flavio," Dominic called out for Flavio who walked into the hallway, coffee's in his hands and he looked over like a lost child. "Take Mar home, stay with her for a bit. If you can bring her back tomorrow morning." I don't need to be babied.

"Dom, you know I'm a grown women, I can handle myself." I sighed as I avoided to look at Flavio.

The middle finger I gave him was the last thing I did and now it's been two days. We have sat in front of each other and still haven't spoke, what the hell.

"Um—" Flavio was about to speak but Dominic interrupted.

"I don't care, Grey got shot we're not risking anything right now. We killed about twelve to fifteen men, whoever's men these are, are probably ready to kill us in cold blood. From now, no one travels alone — anywhere." Dominic was pretty sure on what he was saying, me making awkward eye contact with everyone else, Alissa smirking.

"So basically live like a woman," Alissa jerked a brow, looking back at her phone. "Nothing new for us ladies." She's got a point.

No response for the guys, expected.

I laughed, Alissa smirking as she looked up from her phone and at me, then around to the guys.

"Oh, unclench your ass'," I got up, a smile on my face.

"Pretty boy here knows how it feels," Mason pinched Cesar's cheeks who slapped Mason. "Don't you, pretty." Mason made kiss noises in an attempt to tease him, which did work considering Cesar tackled him off the couch.
