"What do you want, Amara." Maria sourly spat my real name, eyeing me as I gave her a look.

"I don't wanna be here as much as you don't want me to, so let's be quick with this, shall we?" I smiled at her through the anger I have. "When did you last see Dominic?" That question made her raise a brow.

"Weren't you whoring around with his brother, what happened? He left you and now you're after the other?" I will drag her by her hai— no. Calm down.

"You're saying it like Dominic hasn't done the same with you and Mila," I smirked and that got to her.

"Fuck you, I'm not telling you a thing." Stubborn fucking bitch.

"Listen, I'm trying my best to be civil here or I can slit your fucking throat and watch you bleed to death," I glared right into her bitter soul, her fear surfacing to her face. "Your choice."

"I'm calling security." She whipped her head around and I smirked, sighing. Does she really think I'm that unprepared?

"I wouldn't if I were you." I looked around at my men that sat around in the restaurant, Maria following my gaze as she realised we're not alone.

Now, I like seeing that fear, that panic when they realise the control I have over their simple lives; the decision on if they can live or just merely die in the next second and fuck, does that make me feel powerful. Yes, I'm a bad person, sue me.

She looked back me, shutting her eyes as she took in a shaky breath. "He was with me up until half a month ago... we got into an argument and he packed his shit and left, I haven't heard from him since." She told me and I raised a brow, so he was with her for that long, at least he moved on fast like me.

I guess our hearts were just fooled and mislead.

"See, that was simple, right?" I raised and brow and she timidly nodded. "Did he say where he was going and if not do you have any idea where he could've gone?" I asked and she shook her heading saying no. Great. Make my life harder, why don't you, D'Agostino.

Just giving her a nod with pursed lips, I got up, grabbing my suit jacket and my belongings, signalling for my men to leave. All five got up; tall, broody and scary men following my lead as two led the way.

I sent a few men out to a few locations I think Dominic could be at, there's also a probability he's out of town but I have no idea where that could be.

"So, your psycho ex who died a tragic way could be alive after you saw him getting killed, dying in your arms and his death that you blamed yourself for could be Sorrento's older son that no one knows about and now he is out for revenge?" Flavio memorised the shit story I told him, nodding as I crossed my arms.

"Yep."

"What a typical villain." He scoffed and I rolled my eyes with a smirk, sitting down in front of him.

"I just need to find out his reason," I sighed. "He told me he was an abused boy who came from a broken home, with a sister whom he loved very much but she was abused too... he came to my school on a scholarship and obviously made it to the Torres through me," My fucking mistake. "I don't know how much of that is real, I'm doubting the very existence of myself and him, he doesn't even seem real in my head anymore." He's been in my dreams more times than I ever even saw him in person.

"What if he didn't lie?" He asked and I looked up confused, my heads in my hair.

"What?"

"What if that's his reason for everything? What if this is the tragic backstory that every villain has and he's actually alive, trying to ruin as many people's lives as he can just like how his was ruined?" He has a point, Flavio's brain is just what I need.
