Chapter Two

The next day, Lisa always spends at least twice a week, dealing with her underground matters. As much as Lisa refuse to see her business as a Mafia type, Rosé pushes that she's running a Mafia.

"Good Morning Miss Manoban" Everyone in the headquarters bowed down to their head. Not even a soul was noticed. Instead, Lisa went straight to her office. "You're here early?" Rosé was sitting on her desk. "I have nothing left to do at the company" She sat down on her throne and Rosé prepared all the reports from this week and last weeks errands.

Lisa's underground business began way before she was even born. Her dad was known to be the head of the biggest and strongest Mafia to ever exist, but her dad passed away, together with her mom, when they were once ambushed. Lisa was the only person left. She's the only last Manoban standing. She pursued this business because she wanted to avenge her parents. To give justice on their deaths.

"Still no on this guy?" Lisa raised a picture and Rosé shake her head no. "It was a rumor that he died last year, but no one can confirm. Others said that Sebastians group eliminated the man" The Sebastians are another group of mafias but they haven't done anything to harm the Manobans. They're still on Lisa's good side. "I still doubt that the Fraulins, were the one's who spearheaded the ambush" Fraulins are another group, since the beginning, the Fraulins and Manoban have bad blood.

There was a story that Lisa's grandfather, and the late head of the Fraulins were really good friends, in fact, the two groups decided to merge and become one of the biggest underground business. But the one of the Fraulins went behind their own master's plan and ruin the whole thing. Up to this day, the Fraulins and Manobans don't get along.

"They have been silent for quite some time now" Rosé spoke. Lisa couldn't help but agree, the Fraulins have been silent for a few years.

As soon as Lisa finished her errands for the day, she decided to spend her night at the club. From time to time, she gives herself some time to drink, with or without Rosé. "Good evening Miss Manoban" The bartender greeted. Lisa didn't say a think, but only waited for her drink. Tequila. She was sitting alone looking at the people around her, when she spotted Rosé who was waving endlessly. She rolled her eyes and switched her attention.

"You didn't tell me you'll go clubbing tonight?" The bartender gave Rosé her drink. "None of your business Park!" Lisa continued to ignore the chatty Rosé. "I am meeting Jisoo today, you might be interested." Lisa just looked at the lady with poker face, telling her she's not into these kind of nonsense.

"Please, just this once?" Rosé pleaded. Lisa rolled her eyes, and just this once, she agreed to the lady. "Fine" she only had one drinks, so she's still fine. The ladies left the bar and headed to where Rosé was supposed to meet Jisoo.

The ladies entered a well known restaurant, as soon as Rosé spotted the lady she's been in touch with, she head towards her direction. "Rosé" Jisoo stood up to greet the lady. "M-Miss Manoban?" Jisoo was surprised to see Lisa. Although she doesn't really know her personally, Lisa Manoban is pretty known everywhere. No emotions was found in Lisa's face and Jisoo gets that.

"Hi Jisoo" Rosé greeted with a wide smile. She failed to notice the lady Jisoo was with, but Lisa didn't. She looked at the lady who's currently perusing the magazine. "Jennie Kim, learn some manners!" Jisoo called the the lady's attention.

"Am I supposed to say my name, when you already said it?" Jennie's snarky comment caught Lisa's attention, but she didn't say a thing. They started their dinner. The Rosé and Jisoo converse but not Lisa andJennie. "Good thing you brought your sister" Rosé whispered to Jisoo.

"You didn't tell me you'll be bringing THE LISA MANOBAN" Rosé chuckled, people are always overwhelmed by her presence. "She needs to get out some time" Rosé said.

Once Jennie heard that she's sitting with The Lalisa Manoban she turned her gaze for a split second then went back to her food.

"It was nice being able to spend some time with you" Rosé said as they wander outside the restaurant leaving Jennie and Lisa to follow them behind. "It was indeed nice" Jisoo smiled. .

As soon as Rosé and Lisa stepped inside the car, Rosé drove off. On the road, Rosé broke the silence. "I saw that Lis" Lisa threw a confused look and didn't bother talking. "You looked at her" Lisa furrowed her eyes and ignored the lady.

"Apart from me, she's the only person you laid your eyes on" Rosé couldn't help but smile. "Nonsense" Lisa whispered but enough for Rosé to hear. "Maybe she's a good idea." The rest of the trip remained silent. Lisa didn't want to say anything, Rosé might get the wrong idea.

As soon as they reached the house, Lisa went straight to her room and took a shower to remove all the stress she's feeling, that the day has brought to her. After the quick shower she, took a glass of tequila from her mini fridge and decided to go check her emails.

A knock on the door disturbed Lisa's peace. "Come in" She said. The door swung open and Rosé came in. "what now?" Rosé is already used to Lisa's attitude. "I came here to hang out" She said and threw herself on Lisa's bed, opening the huge television in front of her. Lisa just let her do whatever she wants and moved herself to the balcony to get some peace and quiet.

Lisa couldn't help but reminisce the image of the lady she met over dinner. Jennie Kim. She was mesmerized by how her eyes resembles like of a cat. As much as she want to get it over with, Jennie Kim managed to mess with her thoughts. She returned to her room after an hour only to find Rosé sound asleep while the television was on. "Stupid" She uttered as she shut off the television and placed a blanket on Rosé.

Sleeping was a good idea but it hasn't visited Lisa's thoughts. It's already 1 in the morning yet she's wide awake while the lady beside her is in deep sleep.

The next day, Lisa went to the office to attend a meeting from the board of directors. She prepared herself before entering the conference room. As soon as she enters the room, everyone stood up to greet her. "Good Morning Miss Manoban" the people said in unison. Everyone seated once Lisa sat down. The meeting started, all she did was listen to all the complains of the board members.

"Why are we not accepting new investors?"

"Can we still do this on our own despite the changes that has occurred in 5 years?"

"Can we still be able to be independent in the next 5 years?"

"Maybe we can start accepting even at least one investor in the company"

Few of the suggestions from the board but Lisa just looked at them blankly.

"Miss Manoban, you have to understand that in this industry, if we won't allow other people to help us, it will be difficult for us to strive through the following years" one board member said.

"I agree with him Miss Manoban, maybe we can have at least one investor for this year" Another person said. Lisa is a good business woman, so she tried to listen to the board.

"Give me all the proposals of all the potential investors and I'll give you an answer tomorrow. Meeting adjourned" With that, she left the conference room and went to her office.

"What are you doing?" Rosé entered Lisa's office only to find the lady going through all the proposals. "stupid board wanted a new investor" Rosé cannot help but let out a tiny laugh knowing how this frustrates Lisa.
