The next morning I woke up, the sun shining in my eyes. I turned over and looked at the crib, to find that it was empty. My eyes widened and fear struck me, until I looked over to the other side of the room and saw Andy in the rocking chair, holding Dennis in his arms.

"Morning." I whispered, my voice still cracking from sleepiness.

Andy looked up and smiled. "Morning." He whispered as his gaze went back to Dennis. "Sorry, I just noticed that he was already awake, and I thought you could use some more sleep."

I yawned and smiled at the sight. "It does look good on you." I then noted.

"What?" Andy asked as he looked up to me once more.

"Fatherhood." I could've sworn that I saw him blush a little. "Let's go make your mom some breakfast. It is her birthday." I then suggested as I climbed out of bed.

"If she isn't up already. You know how she is." Andy then stated as he laughed. It was nice to see him happy. And for the time being, so was I. He carefully handed Dennis to me and made his way out of the bedroom. I then fed him and gently put him down in the playpen in the living room that Chris and Amy had bought for him.

"We're in luck, she's still asleep." Andy noted, already busy in the kitchen.

We didn't really talk about the things we were supposed to, but at least I wasn't killing him either. We were obviously on friendly terms, mostly for Dennis, Chris and Amy. Well, that's how I felt about it anyways. I wondered whether Andy was simply avoiding talking about what had happened, or just felt too bad to talk about it.

But then, if we'd never talk about it, it would never get better either.

Not for me anyways.

Amy was pleased with the big breakfast we had made her. She was even more pleased when I told her that we had finally decided on a name. "Little Dennis." She repeated. "I love it. Which reminds me, I have a present for little Dennis."

"A present?" Andy and I mused.

She hopped away and came back with a little box that she shoved straight into my hands. I opened it up and found a tiny Batman outfit inside. I giggled as I held it up in the air. "This is adorable." I exclaimed.

"Mom that's fucking awesome!" Andy agreed as he snatched the outfit from my fingers and inspected it thoroughly.

"It's for Halloween. Remember, Andy?" Chris then mentioned.

I raised an eyebrow and looked at Andy questioningly. He nervously scratched the back of his head and laughed. "Oh right, yeah... Before the summer I had this crazy idea that for Halloween we'd all dress up and go door-to-door with our little one." He explained with a wild smile.

"As... what?" I asked skeptically.

Andy cleared his throat and avoided looking me in the eye. "As Batmom, Batdad and Batbaby." He murmured. I was surprised when I realized that Andy had thought of this as something we would do as a family. Perhaps I was wrong when I thought he didn't want this. The idea was pretty cute to be honest.

"Then we should totally do that."

Andy looked at me, shocked. "Really?" He asked. I simply nodded and smiled. Maybe it would be a way to see if this... whatever we were... could work after all.

For Dennis.

Later that day as I was squeezing myself into the Batwoman suit and looked at myself in the mirror. I just couldn't help but feel bad. My thighs seemed so big, to not even begin about my post-pregnancy belly fat. I pulled the zipper all the way up to my chest and poked at my belly. "Disgusting." I muttered.

"You look... good." Andy then noted shyly as he came walking in. He was already fully dressed as well, holding Dennis against his chest. Honestly it was the most adorable thing I had ever seen.

"Look at you! My little Batman!" I squealed as I gently took Dennis from him and held him up in the air. "Such a handsome little hero you are." Dennis smiled and made a few of his cute happy noises.

I swear I was falling in love with this kid more and more every day.

I then kissed his forehead and held him against my chest. Dennis grabbed onto my hair and gently tugged at it when suddenly Andy snapped a picture of us all in the reflection of the mirror. His actions made me a little speechless.

Amy then came in and took Dennis from my arms. "You're so cute! Say, can you two set up the candy for when the kids come?"

"Sure mom, I'll go do that." Andy then said as he put his phone back in his pocket. It was exactly then that mine started buzzing like mad. I grabbed it off my nightstand and quickly swiped through the sudden load of Instagram and twitter notifications. Andy had posted the picture he just made of us on his profile saying 'Happy Halloween from your local heroes, the Bat-family. All set and ready to get sick on candy tonight with my girl and my baby boy'

The pretense to the public that everything was fine between us pissed me off a little. It kind of made it feel like Andy and Stacy's relationship for all those months all over. But I guess it was better that way. At least for Dennis it was, and that was the most important, of course.

We went door-to-door for a good hour or two, picking up candy and greeting other trick-or-treaters. It became really funny once we ran into a group of five teenage girls dressed up as Black Veil Brides, heavily covered in war paint. It was obvious enough to see who was dressed as who.

"You all look amazing!" Andy shouted at them.

"Oh. My. God. Are you Andy Biersack?" One of them, dressed as Jinxx exclaimed.

Andy cleared his throat and bent over to reach their height. "No... I am Batman." He said, his voice all dark and raspy. All of the girls jumped and squealed, and I couldn't help but to giggle a little.

He took pictures with them, signed some stuff, hugged and chatted with them for a little while. "It was really nice to meet you all, but I have to go. Duty calls! And my son has to go to bed soon. It's getting late." He told them with a wink.

"Your... son?" The girls dressed as CC and Ashley asked at the same time.

"Yeah stupid, his girlfriend was pregnant! Don't you remember him saying that in that interview with Bryan at Warped?" The girl dressed as Andy snarled below her breath at her two friends. She then looked past Andy and waved at me.

I simply chuckled and waved back at her.

Andy laughed a little and scratched the back of his head. "Be safe now. Don't get too sick from eating all that candy!" He then noted as he waved at them and walked back towards me.

"They were cute." I giggled as I watched Andy carefully caress Dennis' head. He then gripped his tiny hand onto the collar of my suit and yawned. "Let's go back. He is pretty tired."

"I just want to visit one more house, okay?" Andy pleaded as he frowned, staring down the end of the street.

"Okay, one more then." I had to admit that this was all pretty fun.
