DREW'S POV

We were now walking to an ice cream shop that was about ten minutes away from my apartment. Chase, Mads, JD, and Austin were able to join Mallory and I, and I was glad because this gave them a chance to get to know Mallory better.

Mads and Mallory walked together for the most part, as Chase and I walked together and JD and Austin together in front of us.

"So, how's your missing puzzle piece?" Chase whispered so no one else would hear. We were walking behind everyone, Mads and Mallory up front, so I was hoping they couldn't hear.

"Don't call her that." I rolled my eyes, shoving him lightly.

"You're right, my bad." Chase nodded. "How is Malloray?" He questioned with one of his stupid accents.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the fact that he couldn't just say her name. "Good," I answered him. "I think things are going good. We're getting along really well." I told Chase as we approached the ice cream shop.

"Glad to hear it, bud." Chase nodded as he now approached Mads asking her what she wanted as he pulled out his wallet.

Mallory was looking up at the menu as I approached her. "Have any idea what you want?" I asked her.

She shook her head, still looking up at the menu. "There are so many options. What's good here?"

"Well," I sighed, now looking up at the menu. "The Cookie Monster Smash is phenomenal. And the Xtreme Chocolate sundae. They have the best milkshakes too. Or," I said now pointing to the right side of the menu. "They have every flavor possible in hard ice cream, but just chocolate and vanilla soft serve."

"Interesting." She nodded as she looked for a few more seconds before looking up at me. "What are you getting?"

"I always get the mint chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate sprinkles." I told her and I saw she gasped.

"So you don't even get what you recommended to me?" She let out a small laugh.

"I'm just telling you what's good!" I defended, a smile now on my face.

"Well that sounds good, so I think I'll get that." She told me as she now took out her wallet.

"No, no," I shook my head and she looked at me confused. "My treat."

"No, Drew," She huffed.

"You bought lunch," I reminded her. "Let me get this for you, please."

She sighed in defeat. "Fine. But I'm getting you next time."

"Yeah, whatever," I chuckled as I walked up to the window.

"Why didn't you pay for my ice cream?" I looked over and saw Austin ask JD as they stood there eating their treat.

"You didn't buy me lunch!" JD exclaimed with a mouthful of ice cream.

I chuckled as I shook my head at those two bickering. When the cashier was ready for me, I ordered for Mallory and I. I stood there for a moment as I waited for our ice cream, and I noticed Mads and Chase talking to Mallory. I smiled to myself as it seemed Mallory and Mads were really hitting it off.

"Here you go," The cashier grabbed my attention as she handed me the two ice creams. I thanked her as I took them from her. I put them down on the counter for a second and went into my wallet and pulled out a ten dollar bill, placing it in her tip jar.

I grabbed the ice creams and walked over to where my friends were. Austin and JD were already half way done and I had just gotten ours.

I handed Mallory her ice cream as I sat down next to her and the six of us enjoyed our ice cream for a minute.
