I nearly dozed off, sitting at the top of the wall on watch. Which, Kal caught onto.

"I get why you're up here, but maybe you should catch some Zs. I can get someone else to help guard," he offers.

"I'm okay," I assure, "I stayed up all night waiting for Maggie to wake up. Doctor Carson said it could take awhile, so I figured I would be best up here."

Kal frowns, that same look everyone else gives when I swear I'm fine.

I only pull my bat closer, staring at the open field and gravel road below us.

What would it be like?

Would Glenn walk up or drive in?

--

Neither.

The answer was neither as hours went by and Taeyang nearly dragged me down the ladder and into the trailer to eat lunch.

"Maggie and Daniel are both still out.. But, Carson said Daniel's vitals are better and Maggie's are good. Plus, the baby is doing just fine," he reveals.

"Yeah, I was in there all morning," I nod, "Did he mention the time we're doing the next scan?"

"Probably next week. He wants Daniel to be up and stay awake for a certain amount of time before we do the next one."

I nod once more, pulling my attention away from my food to look ocer at him.

"Hey," I frown, reaching over to grab his hand, "You look tired."

"I'm fine," he forces a smile, turning his hand so our fingers would interlock.

"Tyang.." I pout.

He holds the composure for a second before sighing, "It's just.. It's a lot. But, I'm okay. I'm still in charge, right?'

"I know the whole 'more Saviors than we thought' is hard.. But, we've dealt with people like this before. We'll manage."

He tilts his head a bit in confusion, "Babe, I.. We haven't dealt with people like this. Not this one."

"They're just another group trying to get to us. They're nothing special. Nothing we haven't seen before."

"Hana, no," he shakes his head, pulling his chair closer, "These people- they have more numbers than we can think of. And what Negan did.."

I slump into my chair, sighing. Him too. He thought the same as the others.

"Hana, look at me," Taeyang calls lightly, squeezing my hand.

I glance in his direction and he pulls himself to the edge of his seat. He only stares for a second before his free hand is coming up to rest on my head.

"Do you want to go see hyung?" he questions.

"Of course," I nod.

Taeyang pulls us both up, walking out of the trailer. His arm wraps around my shoulders, guiding me foward that back clearing I'd been at all night.

"I thought we were going to see Glenn?" I ask.

"We are," he assures as we step into that spot.

When the two graves come into view, I stop in my tracks. This wasn't Glenn. This was that pile of dirt.

I step back from Taeyang, my bottom lip poking out a bit as I frown. But, he only nods like he suspected my actions- my refusal.

"We have to talk about this," he sighs, walking closer to the grave.

I stay silent, only watching as he kneels beside the dirt.

"For a second, I almost told them to get you so you could see it.. See him.. But," he exhales, "The shape he was in.."

I cross my arms, shifting my weight to my right leg as he sets a hand on the grave.

"And I knew he wouldn't want you to see him like that."

I felt impatient, like I was waiting on him to get to his point.

He hesitates before leaning closer to the rocks on top, his finger tracing a metal object. Curiously, I step closer to inspect.

Hershel's pocket watch..

But, Glenn always carried that with him.. Why did he leave it behind?

Taeyang catches on to the confused look in my eyes and nods, "I think Maggie might be awake."

"How do you know?" I wonder.

"I put it on her bedside after I found it in hyung's pocket."

"I'll go see," I decide.

As I turn to walk away, Taeyang jumps to his feet and runs in front of me.

"Not yet.. Please," he says, delicately placing his hands on my arms.

"Why not?" I ask, offended.

He looks around like he was at a loss before stepping closer, "Just.. Until you and I can talk through this."

"What is there to talk through?" I demand.

"This, Hana," he motions between me and the grave, "I know you. You're not understanding what's going on here."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"It means I need you to understand. Until then, I think you should keep distance from Maggie."

I step away, a sense of betrayal in my chest, "You want me to stay away from Maggie? Why? What makes you think you can even tell me that?"

"I don't know how to put this the easy, nice way," he admits.

"If that's what you're trying to do, you're already doing a shit job of it," I scoff.

"Hana, you're not thinking right. And if you take all this," he motions to me, "To Maggie.. You'll stress her out more. Just until we get this sorted, please give yourself and Maggie some space."

"I'm going back to guard the wall," I say, stomping away.

"Hana!" Taeyang calls.

"I'm guarding the wall!" I shout back.
