"You weren't lying.. There's an actual tiger," I voice.

On cue, the tiger that Ezekiel had- Shiva, makes a sound that sounds like a huff of exhaustion.

"Yeah.. Crazy, huh?" Daniel muses.

I shake my head, turning back to where the others were. I spot Jessie with her head low, staring at her boots.

"She okay?" I ask Daniel.

"She saw Ron on the field," he sighs, "He made it out, but he was here."

Cringing, I look to the others where I see Julie with an angry face as she sat beside Sasha.

"Julie?" I wonder.

"Relationship issues," Daniel answers with a scoff, "All this going on and they're upset over that."

"When Enid left during that attack and hyung brought her back, she and Julie had gotten into an argument. Enid and James have been close for awhile since they 'understand each other'," Ben adds.

James saw his entire family tore to shreds in front of him and has been almost mute since then- it was amazing when he did speak.

Enid, as I learned when at Hilltop, was the same way for awhile as she saw her parents taken from her and forced to live on her own on the road.

"And Carl's got a thing for Enid and Enid's got a thing for Carl and Julie is upset because Enid and James have a thing for each other.. It's a whole thing," Ben continues.

"So, there's a tiger," I change direction, looking back to Shiva.

"There's a goddamn tiger," Daniel nods, glancing to Shiva over his shoulder.

"How are you feeling?" I ask him.

"Eh.. Just tired. Think the gunshots gave me a headache more than anything, but I'm hanging in there."

"Carson.. Negan really has him," I sigh.

The Carson at the Sanctuary apparently got into some trouble and was killed. Meaning, Negan needed a new doctor there and so he sent Simon to get Carson from Hilltop.

With Maggie's pregnancy, Daniel's condition, other patients, and simply being worried for Carson's safety of being there to begin with- it wasn't exactly the best feeling.

"Hey dudes," a man greets, "You aren't repping your team."

"What do you mean?" Ben questions.

"Everyone's getting their own colors so we can tell everyone apart. See?" he pulls his arm forward, showing the red band on his arm, "Come on in, I'll show you."

We walk down the street before entering the house that was once the Williams family's as Tyreese, Sasha, Julie, and James stayed here.

"I'm Daniel, this is Ben and Hana," Daniel introduces, "Have we met? You're the guy with Ezekiel, right?"

"Damn straight," the man smiles, "Names Jerry."

As we walk into the kitchen, I see there was already a group of people.

"Hana," Natania calls, "You're here."

"Hey," I greet, "You're picking colors, too?"

"I'm in charge of getting it all together," she grins, "Go ahead and get yours."

I look to the table, seeing the four colors spread out.

"Green is Hilltop, red is Kingdom, white is Alexandria, and blue is Oceanside," she informs, "Fitting, huh? Blue like our waters."

Daniel doesn't think twice, picking up the green band and tugging it around his arm. Ben hesitates, but eventually picks up the white one.

Maggie was leading Hilltop, Ezekiel was leading Kingdom, Rick was leading Alexandria, and.. Who exactly was leading Oceanside?

I look over to Natania who smiles sheepishly, "Bea and Kathy are trying their best. I don't have the slightest clue on war plans and, really, neither do they."

My hand hovers over the table, eyes flickering between the green, white, and blue bands.

"And I'd say you did a pretty good job leading yesterday. Oceanside didn't have any casualties," she whispers.

My leader was Rick- always has been.. But, Maggie was in charge of another place..

"And we could use another woman up there on those stands," Natania adds.

I look to her and she shrugs a little, "Even if it's only temporary."

Temporary. I could handle temporary.

I pick up the blue band, swallowing roughly before pulling it around the sleeve of Glenn's jacket that I wore. Once it's in the same spot as everyone else was wearing, I look back to Natania.

"Thank you," she smiles, squeezing my hand, "Oceanside is in your hands. We trust you entirely."

I look down to the band, responsibilities weighing down like never before.

But, with this temporary arrangement.. These women were under my care. These women were my people. These women were my priority.

And together, we would go the distance.
