ALICE WASN'T DOING SO GOOD. It had been a little over two weeks since Jackson and Maeve had dated. The day Jackson had asked Maeve to be his girlfriend in front of the sixth formers, Alice had come home with her head in a mess, thoughts all scrambled.

She had looked in the mirror but she couldn't recognise the person staring back at her. This person that was opposite her felt like a stranger again, someone that made the bile rise in her throat. Alice was looking at herself feeling as though she was worthless once more, feeling completely alone. Alice felt like she didn't deserve to have this body anymore, that she didn't deserve having this life.

She had crashed and hit her low again.

That night, Alice had drank and drank until she blacked out and eventually passed out. She had gone three days after that day sober until she gave up. She hated feeling everything too much while having no motivation to do anything about it so she drank until she felt nothing at all. Alice hadn't been sober for even a minute for two weeks now.

She had contemplated going back to her plug, to go back to old habits, but managed to talk herself out of it and stuck with whiskey instead. She was drinking her breakfast, lunch and dinner. If Jean had noticed, she remained silent. Johnny and Stella had noticed, of course they had, but didn't know what to say. Every time they tried to talk to Alice about what she was feeling, she would push them away.
