chapter thirty five
{ unedited }
ALICE BLEW THE SMOKE OUT HER WINDOW, PERCHED UPON THE WINDOWSILL IN HER BEDROOM WITH A BLUNT BETWEEN HER FINGERS. Her little meeting with Hope had completely ruined her mood for the day. As soon as she got home she relieved her stress and annoyance in more ways than one.
She turned to the girl on her bed when hearing a groan. "What is it?" Ruby was on Alice's laptop after having put on one of Alice's graphic tees to cover her body. Her bottom lip was between her teeth as her brows furrowed in frustration.
"There's nothing good to watch," Ruby whined and slammed the screen shut before falling back on the bed. Alice laughed softly as she took another drag, blowing the smoke out the window. She didn't like stinking up her apartment so she always kept the window open when she did smoke and, since Ruby was here, stayed beside it.
"Are you staying the night?" Alice looked towards Ruby who had pushed herself up and shook her head. No matter how many times they'd come back here to hookup, Ruby never stayed the night no matter how many times Alice told her it was fine.
"No, my mum has a late shift. I should get home soon." Alice put out the blunt by extinguishing the flame with a wet finger, waiting until the flame was completely gone before flicking the remains into the ash tray she had close by.
