ALICE WAS STARTING TO FEEL EXHAUSTED AND WITH THE FATIGUE CAME BY THE URGES. Her brain was working a lot slower than it would after an actual night's sleep so she didn't have the energy to fight off the temptation for a drink or something more.

Ruby had taken a short nap before they had to join the students on the coach and even slept on the way to the place they were visiting today; trenches and graveyards. She was a lot more refreshed than Alice was and, because of that, was looking out for her whenever she seemed to drift off into thought.

The day was passing on too slowly for Alice's liking as she rested her head on Ruby's shoulder, waiting for Miss Sands to give an introduction to what the plan was for today. "We are at Beaumont-Hamel, a preserved battlefield of the Somme," she started to speak, the students turning their attention to her. "British troops suffered over 19,000 fatalities here on their first day, making it one of the bloodiest days in British Army history." She turned to Mr Hendricks, telling him to continue.

"Thank you, Miss Sands. Now, some rules." Alice's brows furrowed when he did a high-pitched voice. "Rules? But you're the fun one." He chuckled, holding his hands out before continuing. "I know, Ruby, I am, but from now on, no more Mr Nice Guy. Okay, so Mr Reyes will now divide you into groups. During that time, I want your full uniforms on. The entire time. I don't wanna see any loose ties. We're representing the school today, guys. So that means no drama."
