ALICE WOKE UP WITH ARMS WRAPPED AROUND HER FROM BEHIND. She made sure to stay as silent as she could as she got out of Carmen's grip, feet hitting the floor. "Am I that bad that you wanna leave already?" Alice froze, eyes squeezing shut as she turned to face Carmen.
"I always leave before the other person wakes up. Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." Alice had made it into a habit to do so that it did slightly put her off that she woke Carmen up. Was she that out of practice?
"You didn't, I'm a light sleeper." Carmen sat up, their arm wrapping around Alice loosely from her side. "Since I'm up, wanna stick around for breakfast?" Carmen asked, leaning closer to Alice as they pressed a gentle kiss to her neck. "I make the best pancakes."
"Oh, I haven't had pancakes in years," Alice accidentally let slip out, tilting her head back against Carmen's shoulder to meet their eyes. "You'll really make breakfast?"
"Of course. Can't let you leave on an empty stomach." Carmen leaned in, hesitating for a moment to see if Alice was okay with it and when the girl didn't move away, Carmen kissed her gently. "Bathroom's next door if you wanna freshen up," they whispered against her lips. "I'll leave some clothes out for you."
