THE MORNING SUN SHONE THROUGH THE OPEN BLINDS AS THE COUPLE SAT ON THE BED, WORKSHEETS IN FRONT OF THEM. Ruby had found out about Alice's grades when Hope decided to bring it up again when seeing the girl with Ruby and her friends and insisted that Alice tries to get them up again.
Ruby was working through Alice's homework, copying her own answers. Alice wasn't focused, pen between her teeth as she watched Ruby work on her history homework―something about the hyperinflation in Germany after WW1. Alice had learnt about this a few years back but forgotten it all, she didn't understand why they had to go over it again just because of the upcoming trip to France.
"We could be doing something more fun than history," Alice said once dropping the pen and Ruby turned to her, the pencil in her hand freezing. She hummed, waiting for Alice to continue and the older girl smiled as she moved closer to Ruby, moving her hair to rest over one shoulder. "Yeah, something much better than the hyperinflation."
"Like what?"
"Like this..." Alice pressed gentle kisses to Ruby's neck, soft little butterfly kisses that Ruby could barely feel. Since they had made it official, Alice had been more gentle with Ruby. She was always more hesitant with things that could be seen as sensual, not wanting to push any boundaries.
