Super short chapter this time guys! I just want to say that I am officially now introducing Aditi as a permanent character! I'll be writing from her point of view as well as Alina's and Roara's! Hope you like her as much as I do.

ADITI

I saw the building collapse around her, her arms wrapping themselves around the man's body, her cheek pressed to his chest.

I wanted to scream, to cry out, to run to her. I felt like I knew this girl, I'd been given a run down of nearly her entire life story in the past few months of strange dreams. Now I'd finally met her. And she was gone.

Spiderman, or Peter as Ro had referred to him as, wrapped an arm around me and jumped. With his other he pressed his middle fingers to his wrists like before and the web he'd been having trouble with flew out. This time it stayed connected to him, as he grabbed it with his hand and swung on it, before letting it go and shooting out another one.

"You okay?" He shouted above the sound of the building becoming ruins and the wind in our faces.

I let out a gargled noise of dissatisfaction.

"I gotta get us away from the building, make sure you're safe, or Mr Barton will skin me alive." He shot out another web as he spoke, the movement so smooth and natural it was hard to believe he didn't come out of the womb doing it.

We landed on a street a couple of blocks away. He set me down on the pavement and I leant over, taking some deep breaths.

"I was not expecting that." I panted, checking the building to see the damage. It was nothing but rubble.

"Roara." Spiderman croaked.

"She wasn't..." I paused and placed a hand on his shoulder as we looked at the grey cloud of dust rising into the sky. "She wasn't afraid. I sort of know these things, and she wasn't afraid."

He nodded. "Come on. Let's go find the others."

"Before we go, can I call you Peter? I heard Haz- Roara say it before."

Spiderman shook his head. "I've told her not to call me that when..." He trailed off. "Yeah. Call me Peter."

We found Fiona's body easily enough. She was where Peter had left her, propped up against a building. The strange burn marks across her body made me feel uneasy.

"Oh fuck." Peter put his hands on his head, turning around slowly. "Oh fuck."

"What?" I asked.

"The girls they're gone, I don't-" He looked up as someone landed in front of us, the huge blonde man from before with his hammer.

"Where's Roara and Loki?" He asked, looking at the two of us. I realised I was still in my pyjamas. His look was stern and grave.

"Thor, Sir, Mr Thor," Peter stumbled over his words, "they were in the building and it was collapsing and Roara kept saying get the girls out, get Aditi out, get Fiona out, so I got the girls out and I put them right here and I got, I got Fiona out," he gestured sadly to the girl, "and I," his voice shook slightly but he kept going, "I got Aditi out and when I put Fiona down here, the girls, they were still here Sir, but now they've gone and Roara and Loki they were still in the building and she kept screaming at me to go, she said that she'd be fine, but Loki he was-" I placed a hand on Peter's shoulder. Grief is always hard. So I'd have to do something I wouldn't normally do.

"What?" Peter turned to face me. "What was that?"

"I'm helping your grief. I'm giving you some sense of the calm that one of my own memories gives to me. Just give me a second it's quite difficult." I frowned and then took my hand off his shoulder. "Does that feel better?"

He nodded.

I looked at the big man in front of us. "Loki hit a wall, really hard and he also got blasted with some strange energy. Roara had a fight with a man and their energies sort of merged in the middle. Most of it just exploded but some of it went into him and then his head hit the wall hard. And then he had a knife thrown at him while he was unconscious, which went into his leg. Roara said she'd be okay. Also Peter," I glanced at him, "the girls couldn't speak for some reason. I think it's a side effect of something they gave us."

Thor looked at me and I could sense the conflict in his mind. From my point of view he had three options, and I supposed he could see that too. Try and find the girls which was useless if they couldn't even speak and could be anywhere, go and search the rubble for Loki and Roara, or help us get to safety with Fiona's body. Or perhaps go help out a fight that might still be going on. None of them were easy choices. But from his clothing which was not from around here and looked somewhat similar to Loki's, I assumed they were connected in some way. He wanted to go and search for them.

As though on queue someone dropped out of the sky behind us.

"How's it going kid?" I didn't recognise many people, I tended to stay away from the news. But I did recognize Iron Man.

"Mr Stark I-" Peter began but I interrupted him. And I never interrupted people. I didn't want him stumbling iver his words again, not that I was all that much better.

"Mr Stark, Peter was really brave, he did a great job, but things aren't going too well. You don't know me, my name is Aditi Savant, I'm Clint Barton's niece. Peter was able to get me out, but this man, Banner, turned into the Hulk and the building collapsed with Roara and Loki inside. Some people died." My eyes slid to Fiona. "They've taken some of the other girls I think, the people who kidnapped me, and they wanted you away from your base for some reason."

A girl came up from behind Tony Stark. She had very dark skin and close cropped hair. "We know, or we knew some of that. Nat and the others have gone back to the Tower, the Ascendency agents have gone. They ran when the building collapsed. Vision and Wanda and going through the rubble to see if we can find anything." The more I looked at her, the more I saw the small cuts across her face. She was limping slightly. "I didn't know about Roara." She glanced over. "Or Fiona." She grimaced.

"Can we go somewhere safe please?" My voice sounded small and tiny and weak just like before. I wanted to cry. I just wanted to go home.

"Peter, can you take Aditi back to the tower, we'll get Fiona." Mr Stark said.

Peter nodded. Just as I was about to prepare for the terrifying experience of swinging through New York city again, I saw him.

He was running towards us, an automatic gun slung onto his back. He was older, not  much, and it was definitely him.

"Where's Ro?" He shouted as he got nearer.

"Bucky-" Alina began. I was really getting into the business of interrupting people today.

"James?!" I shouted, walking towards him. "James?!"

"What the-" His face creased in confusion as I ran up to him.

"James, James Barnes, 107th. You died, you went off the front and you died!" I looked him up and down. Did he have a metal arm now? This day was just getting weirder and weirder. "I saw Hazel getting the news, you either died or you were missing in action, she was at the log by the lake. I'm sorry, this doesn't make much sense, I see memories sometimes, in my dreams, it's strange, but you're alive. And you haven't aged, it's been like 70 years. What happened?"

He continued frowning at me. "The log?" He asked.

"Yes! The log on the outside of the camp, down the dirt road with the trees on either side." My head was spinning. I was sure I was becoming delirious. I was never usually this confident, never usually this forward, I didn't know what was going on with me today. Was it the stuff they'd given me? Or just the sheer fear and terror from what had happened? I was still full of adrenaline.

He looked at me, and then past me at Peter. "Where's Roara."

"She-" I swayed slightly as I stood, his emotions were immense, I could feel them now, swathing me in pain and grief and overwhelming guilt. "She-"

And that was when I collapsed in the middle of the road.
