We sit in the Great Hall with the Goblet of Fire in the center of the room as students put their names in at the last minute. Hermione and I are discussing our current book, a romance-tragedy called His. Right now, I am just jotting down the last of our scene ideas as Hermione explains her vision of it. Putting in my own little details as well. She looks happy in this familiar setting, her and me writing again, just the two of us. She leans on my shoulder, sighing softly into my neck, tickling my beard.

Suddenly, Fred and George barge in like a couple of excited lunatics. People cheer and clap for them and I just break into a grin. If anyone's more insane than I am, it's them. "We've done it!" George exclaims.

"Cooked it up this morning." Fred hypes.

"It's not going to work." Me and Hermione say at the same time with a similar snarky undertone.

"Oh yeah?" Fred asks, "And why's that, lovebirds?"

"See this?" Hermione asks, "This is an age line."

"So?" George asks.

"So," I say, "Dumbledore is a brilliant man --"

"-- And he isn't going to be fooled by something as pathetically dimwitted as an aging potion." Hermione finishes, pointedly.

"That's why it's so brilliant." George says, snarkily, "Because it's so pathetically dimwitted." he mocks her voice in a joking tone. "Ready Fred?"

"Ready George."

They drink the aging potion and hop inside the age line. Cheers and applause ensue. Hermione and I share an amused look as they put their names in the goblet, only for them to pop out the goblet and spit the papers into their chests, knocking them back out of the line.

"HA!" I shout at the brothers who now have beards and white hair. The brothers accuse each other of foul play before they start wrestling each other down. Everyone's egging them on as Hermione huffs in annoyance. I put an arm over her shoulders and kiss the top of her head before nuzzling it. She gives me a happy sigh. The next person to enter silences the room. Viktor Krum. He slowly enters the room and puts his name into the goblet. Then he turns around, stares at Hermione and gives her a smile. "Looks like someone has a crush on you."

Hermione grabs me by the beard gently, and pulls me into a kiss. "Forget about him." She whispers, a toothy grin on her perfect face. I look back up to see a now steaming-angry Krum glaring at me as one of his friends escorts him away. "He just got jealous, didn't he?"

I give her one more kiss, "Forget about him."

"Mmm, so we're copying me now?"

"You want me to copy someone else? Fine." I think for a moment then choose a comedy icon I can somewhat impersonate, "You're sssmokin'!" She giggles, "B-e-a-utiful, I'd say." She rolls her eyes. "Are you sure you don't want me to copy you? Alrighty then, because this one fits lllike a glove!" Now she's laughing, "Oh no, it's taken over, somebody stop me!"

She pushes my face away, "Okay, I get it, you win!" She manages between laughs.

Eventually, it's the final ten minutes before results, Snape pulls me aside as Dumbledore prepares to speak. "Hello, Sammy. I heard you had..." he looks at Harry, "...Company over the summer. Colson must be very bold to go against Dumbledore's direct orders."

"Well you know Dad, he doesn't care about anyone's orders. You think you're stubborn? Imagine twelve of you. That's about half of Dad."

"I am well aware. I went to school with your father for seven years. Truly remarkable, his ability to make friends with almost everyone. You on the other hand, you're much more like your mother. She was a bit more of a loner herself, then she stayed in Colson's arms from your age onward. Colso was also a bit more cowardly than you. She had to ask him out while they were on the train here. Of course, me and Lily-" He freezes, his rambling stopping entirely. "My point is, I respect your father dearly, Sammy. It's true that he's the greatest Ravenclaw Hogwarts has ever seen. He's one of the few people that I'd be truly willing to die for, even after all these years."
