34. Easy on Me

"There's somewhere I want to show you," Seb said as they arrived back at the house.  "But first I want you to wait in the games room.   There's something I want to do.  I'll come and get you when things are ready."

Alyssa looked at him, confused.  "What are you up to?"  He grinned.

"You'll have to wait and see," he replied, dropping a kiss on her forehead.  "Just chill.  I won't be long."

She went into the games room and sank onto the sofa.  She gave a small laugh as Seb shut the door.  What was he up to?

She closed her eyes and began to think back over the day.  She had had so much fun.  Her nieces really were the most amazing girls.  

Then she felt sad as she thought of the conflict between her and Sienna.  She knew it wouldn't be easily resolved.  Especially when Sienna found out that she and Seb were in a relationship. 

She didn't exactly fall asleep but began drifting into that place halfway between awake and asleep.   Soon she heard the door open. 

"Hey baby, you awake?"  She sat up.

"Yeah."

"It's ready.  Come on."  He took her hand and led her out through the glass double doors to the back garden. 

Alyssa looked around.  What was she meant to be seeing?

He carried on walking, pulling Alyssa after him.   When they reached the bottom of the garden he stopped, turned right and carried on walking.  They reached the edge of some trees.  

"Seb, where on earth are you taking me?"

"We're nearly there."

They weaved in and out of the trees and finally emerged in a small clearing in the centre.   A small stream cut through the trees. 

It was almost as if the clearing was cut off from the rest of the world.   All Alyssa could see surrounding them was trees.   Rays of sunlight were breaking through the canopy of leaves above their heads.  

She gasped as she noticed the blanket on the grass.  Next to it was an ice bucket containing a bottle of white wine.  There were also two wine glasses on a tray.   A white plastic tub with a lid on it was on the blanket.

"Oh my Seb, this is wonderful. It's like a place in a fantasy novel."

"I thought you might like it."  He dropped down and sat on the blanket.  She sat facing him. He took the bottle out and unscrewed the lid, pouring a generous amount into a glass and handing it to Alyssa, before pouring himself one.

"Are you trying to get me drunk so you can have your wicked way with me Herr Vettel?" she joked, taking a sip.

"Obviously," he grinned.

"What's in the tub?" He put his wine glass down and took the lid off, revealing a selection of fresh fruits.

Alyssa's face lit up.

She took a piece of strawberry and popped it into her mouth. Seb took a raspberry.

"This is beautiful Seb."

"It's been a perfect day. I thought it should have a perfect ending." He raised his glass. "To the most beautiful woman I know. My girlfriend."

Alyssa blushed and raised her glass. "To the most amazing, handsome man I know. My boyfriend."

Seb leant over and kissed her softly. Her lips parted automatically and his tongue glided in, seeking hers. They kissed for a minute before Alyssa pulled away and took a massive gulp of her wine before
outting her glass down on the tray.
