When you and him celebrate Halloween (Special Scenario)

I've never understood this tradition.

My family rarely celebrates halloween, and giving candy out to children wearing spooky costumes is definitely something else.

It's something I'm not used to. But I'm not complaining, I actually kinda like this holiday.

"Trick or Treat!" The little kids all shout out in unison, their small jack-o'-lantern buckets in their hand reaching out to me and Luka.

The toothy grins on their faces makes me want to just pinch their cheeks really hard, they look adorable.

Luka heaved out a small chuckle, picking out the sweetest candies in the small plastic bowl I held. He gave each and one of them snickers and a few candy corns, which they absolutely loved.

"Thank you!" They then said before bouncing away to the next house.

A few days ago, Luka asked me if I wanted to wear matching outfits for this year's halloween. He gave me a bemused and almost shocked looking face when I told him what's the point of halloween.

And this he gave me an hour and a half long lecture about Halloween. We did more making out than learning though, that's for sure.

But if I remember correctly Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31.

The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.

But I guess they tweened a few of the traditions. Nowadays little kids wear adorable "scary" costumes and hunt around the neighborhood to get themselves a stash of sweets and goodies.

My dad is going out of town for the week, and surprisingly, he trusts me enough to leave me alone at home now.

Sooo I invited Luka over and we had our own halloween celebration. We bought a bunch load of sweets and candies to give out to the munchkins.

And of course, Luka bought matching costumes for us to wear.

Since I'll be home alone for the week, we set up our small halloween party here at my place. We have our little tent near the front door so that when some trick or treaters want some sweets, we'll be ready to greet them, with candy in hand.

"Don't they look so cute?" Luka then heaved out as he closes the door, a small smile coming up to his lips as he looks at my direction. I nodded my head in agreement.

"They're the absolute cutest." I agreed.

He turned to my direction and raised a brow at me. I cocked my head to the side, urging for him to say what was on his mind.

"What are you talking about? You're the absolute cutest." Luka said, which had my cheeks reddening in mere seconds.

He chuckled at my reaction to his words, it's as if he didn't know that his words take a huge impact on me. I feel like the happiest girl in the whole world whenever he compliments me. Although I don't show it as much, I like it when he compliments me.
