in which nishimura ayame is struggling with her mental health and home life and yang jungwon tries to help her but nothing could ever go right for...
a crowd was gathered around two boys during lunch; one of the boys being riki.
"don't ever talk about her like that again!" riki shouted in japanese, punching the guy beneath once more
"yah! riki!" ayame pushed past the crowd of students before rushing towards him, "stop it you idiot!"
she grabbed his fist before he could punch again and pulled him up from the guy.
"what are you doing?! why are you punching him?!" she asked, shouting at him
"because he was saying gross things about you and things he would want to do with you!" riki yelled causing ayame to go eye wide. ayame looked over at the student then back at riki.
she shook her head and held out her hand for the student.
riki widened his eyes, "what are you doing?!"
the student slowly took her hand while ayame pulled up the other student, "you shouldn't have punched him riki"
the student took her hand as she pulled the boy up. just as riki was about to protest again, ayame looked at riki again, "you should've let me"
before riki could say anything again, ayame looked back at the student and she slapped the other boy across the face, "don't ever talk like that about any girl, got it?"
"you and your brother are both crazy" the boy held onto his cheek, staring at the two in shock
"good" ayame grabbed riki's wrist and pulled him through the crowd of students and away from everyone else.
ayame took riki into her classroom where no students were since it was break.
she told riki to sit on her chair while she dug through her backpack.
"are you mad..?" riki mumbled while playing with his fingers
"i just want you to be safe riki" ayame spoke as she took out a band aid and an extra napkin. she grabbed her water bottle and opened the cap, putting the water on the napkin and then began dabbing it on riki's cheek.
she grabbed the band aid and put it on riki's cheek.
"hey" a voice is heard and the two turned to see jungwon enter the classroom, "i saw what happened, are you two okay?"
ayame nodded but riki didn't answer.
"oh..riki, this is jungwon. jungwon, this is riki" ayame introduced the two as she realized she never introduced the two to each other
"hello!" jungwon waved at riki but the boy just looked at him before standing up and looking at ayame, "i'm going to class. i'll see you at home"
riki then walked past the two and out of the classroom
"sorry for that" ayame chuckled awkwardly, "he's not very sociable with new people"
"it's okay. you guys are alike then" jungwon joked but ayame just stayed silent. jungwon then realize what he said and immediately began apologizing, "i'm so sorry! oh my god. i didn't even realize what i said- i'm so sorry"
"it's okay" she responded, in a monotone voice, "i get what you mean"
"no, no. i don't mean it like that" jungwon smacked his forehead, feeling horrible, "i'm sorry"
"it's fine jungwon" she sighed, not wanting an apology from the boy since she knew he didn't mean it like that, "it's really okay"
"say something about me" jungwon then spoke and she rose an eyebrow, confused
"what do you mean?"
"say something mean about me so it cancels out"
"jungwon i can't" ayame chuckled lightly
"why?"
"because" she began, "there's nothing bad to say about you"
"there has to be something" jungwon practically begged so he doesn't feel as bad anymore
'you make my heart race just at the sight of you' is what ayame thought and would say but she didn't.
"bye jungwon" ayame patted his shoulder before leaving the boy

"i messed up" jungwon spoke to jay and sunoo who were once again in his house
"what'd you do?" jay asked
"i was talking to ayame and she was introducing me to her brother but her brother seemed kinda weirded out by me so he just told her bye and disregarded me. then ayame told me he wasn't sociable and i went 'you guys are alike then'" jungwon explained
"why would you even say that you idiot" sunoo smacked him on the head
"i wasn't thinking!" jungwon complained
"i mean who would get mad over that though?" jay then spoke, "sounds like she's sensitive. not in like a bad way! just you know"
"no. i just shouldn't have made the joke. it was so wrong and insensitive of me. she said it was fine but the guilt is still on my shoulder you know" jungwon spoke, regretting what he said
"if she says it's fine then you're fine jungwon. you overthink everything" sunoo tried to cheer him up
"i guess you're right.." jungwon bit his lip
"anyways" jay leaned back in his chair, "how are you and-"
"shut up!" jungwon immediately cut him off, "we don't talk about it" the two could see their best friend blush and become red
